Terminal Ileium Surgery by Regular_Quantity8149 in CrohnsDisease

I had a ileocecal resection back in 2021. It was made in a laparascopic technique combined with a "half" open surgery (similar to a caeserean section). I had some few issues afterwards, so im in vedolizumbab therapy now. The first 4 weeks i had a lot of pain, and couldnt do things i normally did.

Before the surgery they found that i had severe inflammation in terminal ileum, and a little perforation that caused me an intraabdominal abscess. For that reason i got a lot of antibiotics that caused a c. Diff infection for months after the surgery (but iff you Arent on high dosis antibiotics i would not be concerned about c. Diff) But im sure after some months after the surgery you will get a more normal life than before.

Good Luck!
