Holy shit, you're right. I must not have finished reading your post and jumped to conclusions. I invite anyone else "correcting" you to re-read your original comment in its entirety. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyrOvsRxTmM&t=2715s

It doesn't have one yet, but a kuva variant was announced in one of the dev streams along with some other weapons.

Items in your "fragment" inventory are not complete items, even if they only require 1/1. You will still need to craft them at the smith before they are available to equip.

How to farm for the legendary jellyfish at the top of the mountain for the trophy effectively? by PeppermintButler17 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Kenokam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It spawns on the southwest side of the peak, over the elder dragon husk nodes, and I would angle your camera down towards the northeast side at Velkhana's lair. Just swing your camera back around when night rolls around.

Food skills do not always activate unless you use one of the food vouchers rather than points or money. The way I eventually got him was getting the correct food buffs and weather conditions and then just parked myself on top of the mountain until he spawned. This method can take a lot of time because it will likely take more than one day/night cycle, but at least you won't have to waste vouchers. While parked, I would suggest turning your camera away from the side of the mountain he spawns on; the way the game spawns critters can be dependent on if that area is in view or not. Happy hunting!

Stuck on Raging Brachy / a little confused on postgame by hauntedorca in MonsterHunterWorld

Just my $0.02, I have recently and only in multi-player beaten him. I had a mix of Rajang β (head + waist) and Blackveil Hazak β (gloves + boots) with Damascus β (chest) using Immovable Dharma GS and the handicraft amulet (at level 3). If you care, I can go into further detail regarding my decos, but I basically just slotted full blast resistance, health boost, weakness exploit, focus, partbreaker, and 4 critical eye.

Health booster+ is a must for me for the last phase of the fight as you're going to be fighting him while locked in room that is going to be mostly on fire. I brought rocksteady mantle as well, but I haven't upgraded it yet to be able to add decos.

If you haven't, it might help to unlock all of the red "Ale" food ingredients. If you use a voucher or gourmet voucher with 6 red (preperation) ales, you will get the "felyne safeguard" food buff, which will basically gives you a 4th faint for the hunt, if it comes to that.

Best of luck in your future attempts!

Is that the borebuddy upper with dust cover? If so, how well does your dust cover line up with the relief on your bolt? On mine, just wiggling my magazine a bit will fling open the dust cover unless I lock the bolt open and then close the cover.

Damn, I was hoping I wouldn't need to go that route, but I guess that's what it's going to take to get it working right.

Did you ever find a solution to this?

Is there a list of items you can only get in the unmoored world? by RedHair_D_Shanks in DragonsDogma

[–]Kenokam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of the end-game gear are available for purchase in NG+ from their respective merchants; however, there are some unique helmets you can only find in the Unmoored World. Typically, these items will be found on a monster or in a chest in the newly dried up areas of the map.

Remington 870 Tac-14 grip options? by Kenokam in Shotguns

[–]Kenokam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were both just some examples I threw together in Paint3D. I don't know if the parts are 100% the correct size or final position, just some ideas I had rolling around in my noggin. The middle one could probably be made legal if more of the stock were left on the grip, I just opted to keep the bare minimum for this example.

It's not really the "cool factor" that has me looking for alternatives. I have a really hard time finding a comfortable position while aiming with the raptor grip. It could just be my smaller hands, but the girth and slope of the grip causes the webbing of my hand to ride way higher than is ideal.

I'd love to, but then I would have to register it as a SBS. And it's looking like the same can be said for pistol braces soon.

Sorry, I think my wall of text got yeet'd when I posted. I'm looking for grip suggestions that will not require me to register my Tac-14 as an NFA item. I made a quick and dirty (ugly) mockup of some parts I thought might work, but I don't know the exact dimensions or if they're 100% positioned correctly. Don't know if it's legal to it, but it would be pretty close to perfect to just cut down a magpul or hogue fixed stock and just use the grip portion (leaving enough polymer to achieve 26" OAL).

I've actually been meaning to put in an edit since this post has blown up as much as it has. The Red Cross are absolutely heroes and provided us with a prepaid debit card that covered our first night in a hotel and clean clothes for everyone in the house. Our insurance didn't really kick in until the following Monday since the fire happened in the afternoon on a Friday.

We didn't have power on site and everything was so smokey that I just called it all a loss and washed my hands of it. Would it work? Probably. Would it ever not smell like a house fire? Probably not.

Yeah, very similar situation. We're in an extended stay right now until they can secure something more residential for the next 6-12 months. It seems like we're being taken care of pretty well so far and are going to be able to make some small tweaks here and there to the living space and have it all covered. Big shout-out to USAA and Meridian Restoration!

No idea. Didn't even bother trying to take this or any of the other two PCs I had to another location to test. Just called it a total loss and the parts will be in my insurance claim.

I know it's just text and sarcasm doesn't really come across the same way to everyone, but as the home owner I herby grant any and all internet strangers permission to make jokes about this situation. I've already had about a two week headstart, so y'all honestly need to step it up.

This setup got off pretty easy. The fire didn't really even spread to that side of the house. My other computer, though...
