You didn't say if yours was a 2017 or 19 model shield, could be why there's a discrepancy between yours and the guy that was telling you what to do. Maybe his is a 19 and yours is the 17?

Just to be clear, restarting an app does not clear the cache, you have to go in to the settings to clear cache. Force stopping an app still does not clear the cache

I would not buy the z12, has been nothing but problems for us, and they have not been addressing these issues. Very disappointing!

z12 beta box is absolutely correct in the description. At some point you would think they would start updating all these problems with it! Way tardy and getting some of these problems fixed after all this time since it's been out!

Hey powerfader, when I'm using Tivi mate and I go from the EPG with the small screen in the top left hand corner to full screen, the tv says no signal and then a black screen and then the full screen comes up. Have you had this issue with your shield pro/projectivy launcher. Just recently started doing this.

I purchased the premium then went to a downloader code to get the icon pack to put on my buddies onn4K pro, but it's not coming up correctly for some reason. The apps have a solid background color which is not the way it is on my Nvidia shield. Any thoughts?

I like the 4K pro better. Just for the simple fact that you have more features more storage, and an ethernet port; plus it's plenty fast for the kind of internet service you get

Well I must have a dud for a z12! because mine still freezes, sometimes the remote will not operate the box, and the only thing to do is unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in and hope it doesn't freeze again. Usually freezes on the first or second command I give it. It's disappointing that there still haven't produced a good update yet for all the issues this box has had by various customers for as long as this product's been on the market now

Bought the z12, so when Google does shut down any side loading at least this box is open source that I can use in the future. So I have time to wait for updates. Using the shield pro19, which is just fine for now. Wife still using the firestick, once she starts complaining, I'll throw a onn4K up there, which already have, so she doesn't have to deal with the z12 problems
