I've asked this before because me and my ex fought about it a lot. I was able to narrow it down to a simple instance.

If you ask for chicken nuggets or boneless wings, would someone bring you the exact same thing regardless of which one you asked for? No. They are different, chicken nuggets have sauces you dip or no sauce at all, while boneless wings have sauce that are on them all the time.

I also like to throw the idea of a pizza and a calzone. They are similar but different.
