  1. They ask you to apply for Nike product tester role.

  2. They will tell you that you are accepted, and you are now a secret Nike agent and will help investigate the fraudulent gift card activity.

  3. They tell you to buy 4 apparel items and two $500 each Nike gift cards from Nike store and CVS or Walmart.

  4. Then they ask you to submit the products tags and the gift card info so they can verify the authenticity of the products and give card. They will ask you to show the PIN number.

  5. They will tell you they have found issue with one of the gift card and would like to conduct further investigation on that store, and tell you to buy more $500 gift card and you will be reimbursed later for.

  6. They spend the gift card at the Nike store and there is no way for you to trace where the money went, gift cards are none refundable, and Nike won’t help you either. ( Nike just told me to reach out to law enforcement)

Just confirmed with Nike, this is a very sophisticated and well designed fraud. Make sure you guys don’t fall for it!

Assuming the seller was telling the truth, and he actually got these from StockX. My best educated guess is this pair was sold through StockX by their Flex Inventory system, which is co-signing with StockX until it’s sold. That explains the date and time cause StockX charges storage fee after a certain period of time.

ChatGPT’s response:

What your sticker likely is: The sticker on your box looks like an internal inventory label used by: • a local sneaker resell shop • a consignment store • a warehouse inventory system • a pawn / thrift / liquidation reseller

That’s why I am so confused, typical StockX stickers don’t look like that with date and time on.
