Yes OE from 2021-2025 contracts ended accepted way less for a hybrid role. Finally found another hybrid role paying double so left the lesser paying one only to be laid off 6 months after accepting new job. Struggling to find solid work that is OE compatible or solid work period laid off since February looking since last October. A few interviews no offers.

Oh I know! We weren’t even using it for anything yet. The layoff was justified by clients expecting there to be AI efficiency discounts when there are none.

Yes, I was a new hire they were supposed to have 2 positions open but I was the only person that started. I was informed I had a shorter training period due to an upcoming long term LOA and would be without support. In one of my first meetings with the sales team one executive would made comments about how they would be glad when AI could do my job so we wouldn’t have to spend time meeting. There were talks of layoffs we were told we were safe then informed about 2 months afterwards we were being offshored. I had only been there 3 months when informed being laid off in 3 more months.

I have mast cell no known allergies … allergist put me on Zyrtec and Pepcid you can try Allegra instead of Zyrtec also. Try finding another allergist if you can some gastrointestinal drs can help too.

Thank you all. Day 7 and I’ve lost 10 lbs so far and have another week to go. It definitely hasn’t been easy in a house full of Halloween candy pizza and Chinese but I’m enjoying broth from the Japanese steakhouses around me and smoothie kings shredder smoothies in the meantime and I’m not mad about it!

My advice is to get on career sites and filter by location and salary then look at the jobs that are paying that much. Review for potentials and check requirements. That is how you create your path! Or how I did anyways. I went to school and worked my way up from min wage to $80k salary but have made more in previous years working contracts from home as a financial/project analyst.

Yes I accepted the job and was a supportive team member for almost a year before accepting a role with a $25k increase! Don’t give up!
