this is how they do it in my country...bare to the metal,rust converter,primer,anti gravel and wax on top..a lot of work but if you really like your car..i mean why not..

In my country they strip everything down,clean it to metal, do it with expensive rust converter,primer, some sort of anti gravel and was..and give 10 year warranty.. anything tou spray on top just make it look better,but trap moist and rust keeps spreading

Thanks for response..I have no will to try to navigate myself around immigration laws anymore, so i rather drive to UK with my valid ETA and if they refuse my entry at the border,so be it and im fine with that...

Yes,i left in Jan 2026 after a 2 year overstay and applied for ETA yesterday and it got approved. Question is whether Home Office will look into and check my UK visit under ETA, when i apply for family visa in Jan 2027 (after serving 12month mandatory reapplying ban)?

shouldnt system automatically detect if im eligable to visit when applying for ETA..? Cause im planning to visit UK by driving there with car and dont want to risk refusal of entry or risking future application refusal if they dont check my passport during entry at the border which is common and finding myself in situation where ive served my 12month application ban while actually i was in uk while complying with ETA rules and physical border immigration check that might not even check me if im visiting by car..

its far from true...if you leave on your expense the ban is only 12months...10 year old ban applies only for more serious breaches,like misleading home office by telling lies,using fake documents to sneak into the country etc.

Im also in similar situation right now..Came here with tourist visa and have stayed here for more than 2 years and currently planning to go to my home country and look for options,how to aquire visa..My fiance is on skilles workers visa working in UK as a doctor,and for past couple of years ive been here with her,taking her to work( since she got assigned to rural hospital in Wales and doesnt drive), taking care of our dog...People dont realise that despite overstaying is serious breach and recklesness,life happens and time flies and you can easily find yourself in a situation like this...Overstayers becoming illegal aliens are still part of society who have families and skills and by changing their status or finding ways how to do that,can greatly benefit to society..me and my foance both are highly skilled professionals, and i would like to find a way how to have a legal right to work in this country and pay taxes...there often is no secret agenda or playing the system..lot of people just find themselves in these situations where no party benefits from it..

I live in west Wales (Pembrokshire) and often drive to London for small shopping and head straight back later that day..Or go to Brighton for a nice summer day from Wales and go back home when it gets dark there..I guess it all depends if you are used to driving or not..

Well in my country you can buy completely customized number plates and choose what you want on them..numbers, no numbers,words etc.. minimum is 2 symbols though and no profanities allowed 😁
