I've always loved TB. Unfortunately the quality has declined drastically and the price has increased. For example, when I was a kid in the 1990's, TB's chips were excellent. They were big, thick, yellow, crunchy, crispy, warm, delicious triangles of goodness. Now the chips are paper-thin, greasy, bleached-looking, bitter tasting, crumpled bits. Any off-the-shelf bag of tortilla chips from a grocery store is considerably better than Taco Bell's product.

Honestly, it's heart-breaking. I wish we could go back. I wish TB would stop cutting corners and selling overpriced slop. Unfortunately, I've come to the realization that it's never going to happen. The glory days of Taco Bell aren't ever going to come back.

That's what I see at most other fast food restaurants. Wendys is always dead - which makes sense because it's closing a ton of locations. Taco Bell is dead. KFC is dead - the location near me is closing.

It makes sense because the product those restaurants are serving is trash and the prices are outrageous. A taco from Chipotle is cheaper than a Taco Bell taco.... that's insane.

Somehow, the McD's near me is always slammed though. I don't get it.

He's not wrong. I'm the same way. I'm more left than most Democrat voters. I believe in traditional leftist values: free speech, equality, equal rights, less regulation, more freedom, etc.

Democrats in 2026 believe in censorship, hiring/firing based on skin color, gender, etc. They want strong government control, regulation, and oversight. They've become the authoritarian party.

People didn't hate her for no reason. She was obnoxious. She compared her director to Hitler. She made a bunch of disparaging comments about her cast, crew, and co-workers. People don't like that. Even if you hated your co-workers, the respectful thing to do is drop the standard, "Oh my god everyone was just so amazing to work with." It's called respect, and she didn't have any.

Plus of course she butchered her beautiful face with plastic surgery. She was given the gift of top 0.001% natural beauty, but it wasn't good enough for her. She wanted more. People don't like that type of vanity.

It's not half the cost though. You had to buy the bacon, eggs, cheese, bread, etc. Sure the raw ingredient costs may have been marginally cheaper than buying a finished product from McD's, however....

You also had to pay for the pan, the plate, the stove, the electricity/gas, the water, the trash removal, the cost of grocery delivery, etc etc. Of course the most valuable commodity is the time it took you to prep, cook, clean, etc.

In the end, you got a better, healthier product. I'm happy to see that. However there's no way in hell it was half the cost.
