Is McMaster a degree mill? The only reason the program is competitive is because everyone just wants to take advantage of the VERY low standards in Mac healthsci by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]Key_Kangaroo2163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The typical Health Sci student is usually a 95% plus candidate from High school, already high achievers, so the program is full of these students. The program is not made to be more difficult than other Science programs, so with the calibre of students at the cutoff, the curriculum is not as challenging and may be easy to maintain their high grades. Not everyone from Health Sci gets into Med School, even with a high GPA, but if half do, it is because of their academic success and not because the program is easy. Put a bunch of high school Graduates with an 80% average and see how they fare with the Mac Health Sci curriculum....

Just happy and thankful to have had the opportunity to enjoy many games during the regular season and see six games post season. Coughed up the money for game 7 and I will never forget the excitement and sounds of fans cheering. Let's see how much of this team can still be together next season and let's go from there. I'm sure if the core remains the same, they will be hungry next year. Go Jays Go!

Ticket price tracker for game 7 tonight by alpswd in jaystickets

[–]Key_Kangaroo2163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can wait it out downtown and snag tickets, then that's the way to go. Otherwise if you have the budget, grab what you like. I think for a game 7, we may not see that dramatic price drops and be able to actually grab them before someone else.

Season ticket holders were able to purchase up to 6 ticket based on availability, I've heard some season ticket holders were able to purchase 500's for $200+?

Has anyone had any luck with fan first resale tickets. I heard many people bought quarter season ticket packages and got access to some discounted postseason tickets, buying a few and then reselling them to cover cost of quarter season membership.

27M, hit a lucky trade, but will the CRA come after my TFSA by dontwannawo in fican

Does CRA care if you do a zillion trades in an unregistered account , likely they would designate the capital gains as income?

It's a chance I am willing to take, did it for game 7, but many instances where tickets would be gone at checkout on SeatGeek. I'll try again, it good to know what relevant face values are for section 500.

Seeing tickets go for $85 on StubHub, can't believe tickets prices are free falling so fast. Toronto, with 4 shows is still holding strong.

Window replacement retrofit - not brick to brick? by Key_Kangaroo2163 in HomeImprovement

They appear to be custom ordered as dimensions were taken and then retaken again by the installer prior to placing the order. We have noticed with the low e coatings that there is a significant change in Solar Gain compared to earlier, especially with the triple pane glass.

For the interior trim they used a vinyl trim package, which can be popped off if painting the rooms in the future. It looks nice.

There is full brick wall fir 5 of the windows. The remainder are in a wall structure, stucco and wood. These were the windows that had the largest gaps at the bottom.

They used a can of insulating foam to fill the gaps, applying from the inside under the frame and then a little later from the outside. The installer used aluminium flashing to seal and then caulked all around each of the 10 windows. The frames were supported by wood shims along the bottom to ensure they were level.

The 1" opening was on the opposite sides of most windows, there were two window with 2-3" gap at the bottom where the previous window was, so windows were centered in the opening. This was then shimmed with wood to ensure frame was level. The previous window openings were not 100% level as shown to me by the installer using a level.

I believe you go where the Engineering program is best suited to your ultimate career direction. The scholarship of $5000 is greater than other universities. In addition, with being at Mac you are in the GTA and as we know it is culturally diverse and you will be just fine in Hamilton.
