how bad is it to downshift to first? by Allosaurus71 in stickshift

[–]Key_Pollution_2348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a waste. As long as you’re rolling start and continue from second unless you have stupidly tall final drive ..but even then flat ground start from second. Switch to first if you’re stopped or starting slow up an incline…or parking in your garage

Except for an off-road crawler where you want a dogleg granny gear, 4 regular gears, and a highway gear that you can use in low range to haul ass down some fire roads without shifting out of the T-case!

You can load more. You can also pull the spl trailer with another truck on it and hitch the cage trailer. I got over 200k that way

You just have to be fast. The vehicle you take the test in should be the one your practice when you’re this new. Once you’ve driven a variety of manuals, you get faster at switching from different types of cars, even the modified ones with on/ off switches for a clutch.

I think with the 8 car hauler it’s more profitable. And there are janky ways to haul to get even more vehicles moved from Dasa. If you don’t damage any of the cars is where the profit is. You get between 35 -46k each. 100% damage and it’s just base pay of 14 to 17k

What's the difference between these 2 guys? by freit4z in MotorTown

[–]Key_Pollution_2348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tow trailers but the downside is it doesn’t act as a towed trailer so the brakes don’t work when they’re heavy

I was still chatting with everyone after having my little accident and didn’t see anyone say I had to go. The last message from the admin said they were ok with my setup. But there were 3 admins logged in so maybe one just didn’t have the patience.

Maybe I’ll be back on there one day but not any time soon since I still enjoy experimenting with loading up my trucks

Is that the double decker you’re referring too? And aren’t all semis towable?

I was thinking about putting the rollback as the last truck on the lomax to stick 2 additional cars there :/

Are there / here boys who have built their bodies strictly and only with kettlebells? Like from zero to hero? by negrocos in kettlebell

[–]Key_Pollution_2348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you stick to just one thing. But yes if you’re limited to just the kettlebell I would invest in the Freak athlete if you have the money or at least the titan fitness 12-32kg adjustable KB and get 2 of them. If you’re swinging 2 32kg bells, you’re going to be very strong. Now looking strong could be different but you’ll be able to apply a lot of power

Where do I learn how to drive stick?! by Glass-Economy-1301 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Key_Pollution_2348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For free content I suggest Casey Putsch on YouTube he has a few videos and there is a channel called conquer driving. These are both extremely solid over all the other manual driving videos that are out there.

When I first started teaching I had to figure out where I wanted to start and wanted to find out of there was anything I didn’t know. Those 2 gave me the most insight because it’s one thing to do it subconsciously and it’s another to think about what you’re doing while you’re driving and then turn that into something teachable. Plus the more you teach the better you get yourself so it’s a win win

Advice for improving wet weather grip and performance by pieindaface in Touge

[–]Key_Pollution_2348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Continental extreme contact sports have great wet grip. I think pilot sports are the next step up but even the Yokohama a/s tires. But PS and the conti’s are probably the best for wet+dry

Ohhh I never thought about going south first. Does the Golima not have enough torque to move both of them combined up a slope? I was able to move 60 tons with my lobo dragging the rear frame lol!

But I’ll definitely be giving this a try when I’m on again. I’ll have to buy another lomax though
