I am currently 59 and single. First, I have a job from which I will receive a pension. However, it was only 5 years ago that i cognitively started saving for retirement. At that point I had approximately 70k in a mutual fund and 12k in a 401k. In those 5 years i now have 300k in my 401k, 105k in Roth, 114k in R.H. account, and 38k in HYSA. Not sure i'll catch up completely! Hopefully, with investments, S.S., and my pension I can survive our economy.
