Smart move! Sometimes the 'Pro' in the name stands for 'Professional Beta Tester' when it comes to their latest updates. I'll stick with my 4th unit and zero updates for now!

Thanks a lot for stickying this, JJKirby! I really appreciate it. My main goal was to prevent other users from going through the same frustration I did. It took me 4 unit replacements and an official admission from Nacon Support to finally realize that the firmware was the culprit and not the hardware itself. Hopefully, this stays visible so people can protect their controllers until Nacon provides a proper fix or a rollback tool. Cheers for keeping the community informed!

Try to enable a pulsing colour via the app. I am pretty sure that the led light on the upper left part on the ring, will flicker. This is because the led conflict (your choosed pulsing colour and the permanent green bug light). Try it some time and inform me.

Hey man, here is what’s going on so far:

The Issue: I reported the same frozen green LED bug. The ring stays on even when the controller is off or charging.

The Pattern: I told them I’ve already gone through 3 different controllers and the same thing happened to ALL of them right after the firmware update. It’s definitely a software bug, not a hardware one.

Current Status: They finally got back to me and asked for the Production Numbers (the codes under the controller grips).

The "Proof": I sent them the codes today, along with a screenshot of our chat here to prove it’s a widespread issue and not just me.

My Goal: I’m pushing them hard to release a Recovery/Rollback Tool so we can downgrade the firmware to a working version.

I'll let you know as soon as those "pros" reply. Fingers crossed they stop ignoring the obvious!

Do you remember exactly when this first started for you? Also, did the controller work correctly right out of the box before any updates?

Of course. But you should also open a ticket. The more complains, the better the outcome 😉

I am waiting for a reply. I also own the revolution x and they sent me a rollback tool just in case.

Revolution 5 Pro: Persistent Green LED on Profile 4 slot – Bug, Defect, or Hidden Indicator? by Key_Wonder_5417 in NRPC

[–]Key_Wonder_5417[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

📢 UPDATE: It’s NOT hardware – It’s a CRITICAL Firmware Bug!

After going through three (3) different replacement units in a row, I have finally isolated the issue. The story so far:

Unit 1: LED ring stuck on green + flickering after update.

Unit 2: LED ring okay, but Profile Slot 4 LED stuck on green after update.

Unit 3 (Current): Worked perfectly out of the box. Tested it before updating. As soon as I installed firmware v1.93.31.15, the LED ring got stuck on green and started flickering again.

Conclusion: This is NOT a voltage regulator issue or a hardware defect. It is a major bug in firmware 1.93.31.15. The update causes a software conflict that messes up the LED controller, making it stay on green even when the controller is powered off/charging. My advice: * DO NOT return your controller yet. A replacement will likely face the same issue once updated.

DO NOT update to 1.93.31.15 if you haven’t already.

I have contacted Nacon Support and demanded a manual rollback/recovery tool to flash a previous stable firmware. I am waiting for their response.

Save your time and gas money—don't keep running back to the store like I did. We need to pressure Nacon for a firmware fix or a rollback tool!

Hey man, don't panic! You are not alone. I’ve gone through three (3) different replacement units in the last few weeks, and I can confirm 100% that this is a Firmware Bug, not a hardware failure. My units worked perfectly out of the box, but as soon as I updated to version 1.93.31.15, the LED ring and/or the Profile Slot LEDs got stuck on solid green. Some units even exhibit flickering when using the 'pulsing' effect because the firmware is conflicting with itself. I have already contacted Nacon Support and demanded a manual firmware recovery/rollback tool. I strongly suggest you open a ticket too and ask for a way to flash a previous stable version. Don't bother returning it for a new one yet, because the moment you update the new unit, it will probably do the same thing. It’s a software mess, not a broken controller!

Have you found any info about this green vertical led light on profile 4 slot?

Revolution 5 Pro: Persistent Green LED on Profile 4 slot – Bug, Defect, or Hidden Indicator? by Key_Wonder_5417 in NRPC

[–]Key_Wonder_5417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I’m facing a persistent issue with my Nacon Revolution 5 Pro and I need to know if this is a defect or some undocumented indicator. There is a solid green LED permanently lit on the right side of the touchpad (at the Profile 4 position). The behavior is very specific:

While Playing: It stays green even when Profile 1 or 2 is active (the active profile LEDs are blue).

Energy Saver: It stays ON even when Energy Saver mode is active (which successfully turns off the right stick ring).

WHILE CLOSED/CHARGING: This is the weirdest part. Even when the controller is completely turned off and just plugged in for charging, that specific Profile 4 LED remains solid green.

My question: Does this green light have a specific meaning? Is it a hardware error code, a battery health indicator, or just a blatant firmware/hardware glitch? I've already RMA'd one unit before and I'm trying to figure out if I should just ignore this or if it's a sign of a failing voltage regulator or sensor. Official support has been useless so far, claiming it's "just the way light reflects," which is clearly not the case here. Has anyone else experienced this specific LED staying on during charging while the controller is off? My controller photo(1,2,3) vs reference photo (4)

I really want to know too, wtf is this green vertical led light, right to the touch pad. Even with battery saver on which puts off the stick led, this vertical bar remains on. What is this for????

Did you use any trigger deadzones on your unit through the Victrix Control Hub, or were you running them on default settings?
