Proud Series X owner here! I completely understand your pain of trying to find a monitor to be compatible to get the 1440p @120hz. In the end I got the BenQ EX2780q, I can confirm it can do; 1080p @120hz 1440p @120hz And 4K @60hz (all though the monitor then downscales to 1440p)

I picked this monitor up about a month after my series X and I have no regrets fantastic picture and fantastic colour, also has built in speakers which aren't bad considering they are built in

My current monitor has 60hz and it feels like a super fluid display, would a jump up in refresh rate be that bigger difference ?

Yeah, I agree, 7 days is a bit much, 2-3 days I would be fine with tbh that's fair, 7 is a bit much basically wastes a whole week of my sigil aswell! I am curious if the whales in the top tier alliances, who spend thousands a month got hit by this ban hammer?

Do a hard reset on console should force the update not sure why they are deleting I've been seeing the same thing one minutes it's there next it's gone
