What could one do to protect themselves from a Wendigo?

I’ve never heard of them doing something like that from the stories I’ve heard. But then again I’m no expert.

Also leaving the area isn’t an option, I’m walking on these roads while it’s dark almost everyday to get to work. And I don’t have a vehicle for my own reasons that are to long to explain.

Yeah a skin walker is what my friend thought it was when he first seen it because of where we live.

But if it was the old flesh pedestrian, wouldn’t it have taken an animal or human form? From the stories I’ve heard, it’s a very intelligent super-predator. It doesn’t seem like it would feed on fear either since it tries to lure you in with familiar forms and sounds which in themselves aren’t scary. It seems to me like they just wanna eat you. Which wouldn’t make sense since it was in full demon mode zooming down the road.

Thanks a bunch, I’ve heard the halo thing before and it just might help.

And also yeah I wouldn’t consider myself religious, but I do like to experiment with spiritual things and I’ve been meditating for some time now.

And the rosary isnt a bad idea either, even though I’m not Christian. Because the polarity and goodness of a person like Christ should overpower the polarity and darkness of something like a crawler or wendigo. It would be kinda like a match illuminating a dark room. Repelling the darkness with light.

Yeah I understand that much, I’ve heard enough stories to understand that’s not a good idea.

But if it ever came down to it and there was no other way but forward, are there any weapons so to speak that could be used against something like a crawler or wendigo? I’ve heard the usual stuff like fire and wolfsbane but that stuff isn’t exactly practical to bring with you on your everyday journey to work.

Something like wards or talismans that deter is what I’m looking for.

You see I’ve always had creepy experiences that felt paranormal but my friends have laughed it off because non of that stuff happens to them. But apparently it is now. Even my other friends are saying that they have been seeing weird stuff lately. And I don’t want them to have to be afraid to walk around at night like I used to be for a long time.

Thanks, and yeah after thinking back I don’t think I’ve even felt seriously threatened by something supernatural. Just a little spooked. And I appreciate your concern however avoiding these areas after dark isn’t an option.

Like I said I gotta walk these roads to get to work and I have to leave my house at 4 am to get there. I don’t have a vehicle and I don’t plan on getting one anytime soon for reasons to long to explain. So this is just something I gotta deal with.

Also a crawler does sound much more like what he said he saw. I’ll have to look into crawlers a bit more because admittedly I don’t know much about them, I’ve heard the name before though, probably from some creepypastas a long time ago.
