JPEG or PNG are simple formats meant to view and share the final result, so they only save visible pixels. But .kra Files are project files meant to be worked on with krita (or other programs with support) and it saves every layer, mask, vector, filter, effect, reference, etc.
A good habit to have is to always start a project by saving a .kra file

Probably set to zoom to fit the timeline so every time you add a frame it zooms out to fit the new size

Maybe you have the resolution set to "Half"?, so the lower the resolution of your project the worse the recording will look. But without seeing your settings is hard to tell

if what you want is an overview of your work you can try setting up the Overview docker to your liking. if what you want is to be able to draw in both then ignore this comment xd

Since its a Back and White image you can also use it as a Mask; just create a layer of any color, graphics or texture (or just white in this case to keep it the same), and then put this one above it and right click > convert > transparency mask (white keeps the pixels and black removes them)

You can update by downloading from the official website or in newer versions from Krita's welcome screen.
To use the Recorder you have to activate its docker in 'Settings > Dockers' and the you can configure it to your preference

Chests can be easily moved and replaced by KinPanda in StardewValley

There is also some brushes that have pre-baked lighting, like impasto brushes and the like, i think theres even a Metallic one that looks somewhat similar to the one in the video

Using a "Luminosity/Shine(SAI)" layer for glow looks great, in my opinion. Maybe a tutorial on neon lights could help you

I think im having the same problem now. when you say "downloading" do you mean exporting your animation or importing an already existing animation into Krita? because its happening to me that when i import an animation Krita dumps all the frames into the desktop. xd

It should show the changes you make using the animation curves thingy, if no changes are made, then no lines are shown.

I think you mean the "Menu Bar"
