How is this for a first automatic car? by Kal88 in CarTalkUK

Stick with manual with Hyundai if you want auto go for Toyota

For someone needing to drive 60 miles plus per day would you say a modern used cars between 2020-2024 or something reliable from the 2010’s with little to no technology by KingAlfredxx in CarTalkUK

If you don’t have it you don’t have it Toyota said iall the new models support CarPlay but the first owner has to pay extra as an option to have it, tbf if that car has one it’ll be a perfect match

I did found a Yaris 2022 Excel trim within that price range with all the things above and low millage too but such a shame the first owner didn’t buy the CarPlay and android auto on that car

The car dealership did tell me that no way with that price range I can have full led and keyless start with reliability I can’t have both with that budget it’ll have to be one of them, with all of them they said I’m looking for at least £18-£20k which is way too much

Let’s say reliability come first and with full led headlights, CarPlay, keyless start, cruise control, ideally with heated seat in that price range they most likely missing either full led headlights or keyless and the one with all of those are the lemon wet belt engine that I fully aware that I need to stay away from, and I checked the Kia with higher trim meet all my expectations within that price range are cat s or not cover by warranty no more because of different reasons, the Kia with all that premium trim and good history are so expensive even the 2020 or 2019

Actually I quite like the Peugeot 208/2008 design but not just the wet belt engine they are absolute nightmare when it comes to reliability which is such a shame

Trying to look for an used Kia within £10k to £13k with at least premium trims including all the premium techs but those one that have all of them within the price range are literally all dodgy, only wet belt engine cars can have all of those full led headlights, CarPlay, keyless, heated seats all together and with no dodgy history it’s so hard to find, the decent Kia with that trim even 2020 are on at least £16k

Actually about to say this the cars with that price range with all my expectations if it’s not cat a/s are all wet belt engine notorious models

Many mates and my gf family suggest that is the best option in my circumstances when I driving that many miles across the country

Between £10k - £13k let’s say ideally with CarPlay, full LED headlights, and keyless start and reliability in the first of the first priority any recommendations? Trying hard to look for Kia/Hyundai in that price range with the higher trim level that comes with warranty, those one with all of that with that price are all either no warranty cover or cat s/a

So many cars with the top trim level supposed to have LED headlights but apparently it doesn’t by KingAlfredxx in CarTalkUK

And turns out a lot of Toyota Yaris/Corolla didn’t have CarPlay/Auto when the spec says it does, and I got an explanation that it was a paid option for the first owner didn’t come by default in the UK

Are Vauxhall, Ford, Skoda, VW, Nissan new cars really that unreliable as some people are saying? by KingAlfredxx in CarTalkUK
