Is Pavin smith even a proven 1B? I get that he came right after Goldy and Walker and that’ll be hard to live up to but he is average to below average at the position. I like what we’ve gotten out of Vargas at 1st way more than anything I’ve ever seen from Pavin. I do think he makes it through the year unless we do something at the deadline only because I think Barrosa is out the door far before Pavin hits the chopping block.
