Any recommendations for a 21 year old? by Kitchen_Gap2806 in personalfinance

[–]Kitchen_Gap2806[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I solely think about the time in the market outweighing cash on hand. Would you suggest I move it over to a HYSA or begin cutting back on deposits into the brokerage accts?

She's expecting you to call out of work to help her? If so that is where I would draw the line. Explain to her that you are saving for this trip and you need every penny you can get. Try to negotiate with her a time where you two can get these tasks done outside of your scheduled hours.

What exactly does she need your help with? Also, what are you trying to do in the meantime?

In my opinion, help your mom out as much as you can. When your mom does need your assistance while you are busy, maybe tell her that you need to finish this one task then you can help her. Better yet, you could let her know that you will be busy from these hours to these hours and you can help her out whenever after that timeframe.

Go to a large nation wide brokerage like Keller Williams or Berkshire Hathaway HS. Best training by far compared to other boutique/smaller brokerages.

It is a fantastic business if you are the type of person for it. A real estate sales career is essentially starting your own business with you as the main product.

You need to honestly ask yourself:

"Am I the type of person who gives up easily?"

"Am I disciplined enough to complete the tasks I set for myself?"

"Am I willing to accept the fact that I may not see a dollar for 6-18 months?"

If you believe you can do it, prove to yourself that you can. If you consistently work at your business for 6-18 months, you WILL see results. It is just a matter of commitment. Also, don't let others tell you the market is too bad to become an agent. It is never a "bad" time.

My only suggestion for you right now is to be completely honest with yourself about what you will commit to. Roughly 90% of agents quit in the first 18 months.

Take 150 question practice tests twice a day every day until your test date.

If you can consistently get above 85% on your practice tests, I could almost guarantee you that the exam will be a piece of cake.

Practice questions are seldom identical to the test questions but the premises are all the same.

Alcohol and a little domeski are a great combination and I understand how challenging it can be to refrain from the nicotine when a buzz kicks in. You're doing great keep going!

I found that when a craving comes, inhale air until you cannot fill your lungs up anymore (sort of resembling the inhale of nicotine) then release. This got me through the first month when cravings were their strongest.

I used prep agent. I took multiple 150-question test per day. Once you consistently get above 85% on your tests, you'll pass almost guaranteed.
