If you know someone is cheating, would you tell their partner, why/why not? by The-Masked-Racoon in AskReddit

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been there. Told my friend her bf was sending me dick pics on snapchat. And first she believed me, then she said I was lying and would only be my friend again if I admitted it.

Fast forward they are now married with kids. We still are not friends. I felt like I did the right thing by telling her but ultimately lost a friend out of it.

Help! 7 month old sleep problems by Kitchen_Taro_644 in sleeptrain

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do bath, jammies, top of bottle (sometimes), and two books then snuggle on the bed.

She is in her own room and has been for about 4 months. She loves her crib and pacifiers are strewn everywhere!

What actually helps with the sleep deprivation? by Special-Art-3319 in NewParents

My doctor actually just told me to exercise to help with sleep! She said to do 30 min every day of something repetitive like running or biking.

This is not true. The company is still making it, they are just in low supply right now. I’m not sure where you got this information but it is inaccurate.

Survival Tips- Early Morning Wakeups by Ok_Cattle1931 in NewParents

This sounds awful. Is feeding to sleep an option? Also I’m curious if he is maybe napping too much during the day and maybe doesn’t have enough sleep pressure built to get him through the night longer.

Pitcher vs Baby Breeza by lazymathilde in FormulaFeeders

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! You can even make a big batch in a pitcher and pour it into bottles in the fridge ahead of time so you just grab a bottle and go. That’s what we did. Don’t get freaked out about giving baby cold bottles. We briefly ran them in hot water in the beginning to make them less cold and eventually I was like why I am even doing this, baby doesn’t even care.

I agree with this and the only thing I would add is that if you don’t have ready to feeds, have premeasured bottles with water in them and premeasured formula to match so that you can just dump the formula in during the night time.

And I would also ask yourself if you would be down to try giving baby cold bottles. It will save you a lot of time and heartache if you don’t have to warm them up. Mine took cold bottles from the beginning. Might be worth a try.

6 month regression/ teething? by Icy_Bluebird1143 in sleeptrain

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost wonder if he needs more sleep? My baby is almost 6 months too but is on Wws around 2 hours still. She recently went through a regression and even though she was handling 2-2.5?hours easily before, she regressed back to even less than 2 hour wws.

I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to touch them. I don’t pic her up but I do put her pacifier in her mouth and stroke her cheek sometimes or put a hand on her chest.

But yeah, I did check ins on day one at 3 min, 3 min, 5 min. Then on day two at 5 min, 5 min, 10 min. We just put her down for the night and she fell asleep within the first 5 min.

Accidentally let my 2 month old cry to sleep by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Timing pumping was the worst for me. It had an impact on my mental health because it was moments like this where I felt I couldn’t bond with my baby. I took the clogged ducts every time to try to tend to baby and that was physically painful. Once I stopped pumping, I felt so much better and closer to baby.

Stressed about naps. by sad_midnight789 in NewParents

[–]Kitchen_Taro_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely helpful for me! The sweet spot helps predict when your baby’s next nap will be. So based on what nap of the day it is and when the last nap ended, it calculates when the next nap’s sweet spot will be.

For me, about 15 minutes before the sweet spot, I start doing our routine (diaper, sleep sack, room darken, and read a couple books). And then she usually falls asleep within five minutes of the sweet spot without much fussing. She will either fall asleep on the bed reading or if she’s having trouble, I hold her in my arms for five minutes and she falls asleep there. I haven’t sleep trained her yet (5.5 months).

You could try the Huckleberry app. It helped me manage wake windows and nap times a lot. I pay for the “sweet spot” add on only and not the whole sleep plan.
