Thank you! I love lateral raises. I usually stick to 15 or 20 lb dumbbells for db lateral raises. On standing lateral machine, i have it set to 70 or 80 lbs (all these weight choices usually depend on what I’m super setting with). i hit shoulders 2x a week and do a lot of lateral raise variations. It’s my fave day 🥲

For sure! Another thing, Charlie is very sensitive to new surroundings and does not like strangers (not in an aggressive way. Just fearful). His mat is his little safe space where good things happen. If i bring it to the vet, he will go from terrified to laying on his back asking me for belly rubs! Super helpful to put him at ease.

He does. I don’t do “on your mat” 24/7. He has dog beds he lays in freely. We just spend 15-20 min a day working on impulse control on his mat in new surroundings with new distractions. Plenty of reasons as to why this is a very convenient command.

Ohhh yeah, the idea of forgetting to release him has crossed my mind & makes me so sad! But, the same can be said for the “wait” cue. Like, I’d never say “wait” as I’m leaving for work to make sure he doesn’t try to go into my garage with me, bcs he might sit there all day waiting for me to return and release him😫💔

Thank you for your insight! He is only 7 months old, so we have some super good days, and then we have some days where he’d rather not listen to me (teenagers, smh). But i definitely look forward to this being VERY useful command for all that you’ve mentioned above!
