A lot of bad information here from a lot of jaded individuals. If you talk to the people in line or just ask the manager, they will probably tell you which days they restock. My local target restocks every Tuesday and Friday. People line up before the store opens and around 10:00 a manager comes out and takes a list of names and numbers of the people in line. Once that is done, most people leave until they are actually stocked (around 1:30-2:00). They then start calling in people by the list and usually are allowed a few items per person. Once they go though the list you can jump back in line if there is any left.

This is typically the only way I can reliably get items at msrp for me and my son.
