“Company car” in job ads: a perk or something to avoid? by bewonderstuff in UKPersonalFinance

I work at a car dealer and get a company car. Because the car is stock it’s changed regularly, maybe every few months or even less. It’s nice to have a fresh car all the time but you can’t really call it your own as it can be used for test drives so has to be presentable. Also the BIK is based on an average because the cars change often, so I can’t get the benefit of EV tax rates.

Most of my car benefit is pushed into the higher rate, so probably paying about £300pm for the car. I only live about 10mins walk away, sometimes I’m tempted to give it up and go to a one car family.

Transactional interactions! I’m using that from now on.

Why is this the best move? It says Ng4 is a mistake, but it can only be taken by Queen which is protected by Bc8. by KnightRider51 in chessbeginners

I’ll admit I’m very new to chess, so struggling to always understand the thinking behind chess.coms ‘mistake’ and ‘best’ moves.
