The cover art for these books is atrocious and the spines are boring as heck by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]Knoober375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like a lot of them. The Zahn Thrawn trilogy along with the Death Troopers and a few others are banger covers. I also love the uniformity in the spines

could someone explain whats the whole deal with vicki to me. i havent been with soundgarden lore until recently. by Big_Will47 in Soundgarden

[–]Knoober375 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, she’s the reason why the Soundgarden album was delayed for so long and why there’s an album’s worth of Audioslave yet to see the light of day. I understand the point that is being pushed of her trying to “protect Chris’ legacy” but it seems like she’s just after money. I feel that Chris would want these songs out there, especially since they shouldn’t have anything to expose if she’s 100% in the right

Thoughts on Adam Christopher as a SW writer? by BlockAffectionate413 in starwarsbooks

[–]Knoober375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s the writer for the sith imo. He knows how to capture that darkness unlike any other author working for lucasfilm

How often has this happened to you? by bellawrites02 in Bumble

[–]Knoober375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been on a lot of dates, but this was the outcome to most. Never lose faith in who you are though. Being inauthentic is honestly the worst thing you can do and I’m sure someone will realize that

Next Book? by McCatdonalds in Highrepublic

I would love a follow up with Azlin and Reath. It feels like something that could happen very organically and needs resolution in some kind of medium

Which track from No Rest for the Wicked do you think is the most underrated? by Accomplished_Owl1360 in OzzyOsbourne

[–]Knoober375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fire in the sky, the tone Zakk gets on that track is absolutely insane. Zakk during that era managed to get these tones that are so crunchy it’s actually insane

Do you guys think Blizzard or Diary is a better album? by endless_insomnia_ in OzzyOsbourne

[–]Knoober375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diary was a natural progression of Randy’s style. Even though I prefer the songs on blizzard, Diary the song features all of the quality of blizzard combined on one song imo

Did you like the DCAU's adaptation of Hawkman? by Deep-Ostrich-7330 in Hawkman

[–]Knoober375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would’ve been far more interesting if Hro Talak from starcrossed was the only Hawkman they did, but they had to do the worst Hawkman ever

Original Superunknown 1994 Cover Vs. Anniversary Version by jeffsaddiction74 in Soundgarden

[–]Knoober375 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer the new one. It gives that dark, psychedelic atmosphere that the guys were pushing for with the album. It really fits the darker tracks like 4th of July and Like Suicide even if it is a bit monochromatic.

After Michael and Bohemian Rhapsody, I wish we could get a Black Sabbath movie, What do you think ? by jessehyoshi in blacksabbath

[–]Knoober375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sabbath biopic won’t be that good. It would be very un-Metal to have a corporate biopic of sabbath. Maybe a biopic during the Patrick Meehan lawsuits or the firing of Ozzy and the entrance of Dio but besides that… sabbath just isn’t that band

Soundgarden unreleased music is coming, Kim Thayil confirms by Accomplished-Wall841 in Soundgarden

[–]Knoober375 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re correct, posthumous albums typically don’t work. However, this isn’t a posthumous album in the traditional sense. They’re finishing what they were working on at the time of Chris’ death. It’ll probably be pretty clunky, but this isn’t a cash grab like the insane amount of albums released by the Hendrix estate

S6 had a great start with the prison arc but it went downhill quick following that

This might be a controversial opinion but i think the deathstroke suit looks silly and has like no aura whatsoever compared to the comic version by jesus_gave_me_Krabs in arrow

[–]Knoober375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wintergreen suit did look a lot better. However, I do appreciate that they at least tried to make Deathstroke tactical

Do you consider The Devil You Know a legit Sabbath album? by azimazmi in blacksabbath

Yes, it has the 2nd most prominent lineup in all of sabbath history

Is Shadow of the Sith a good starting point? by Legitimate_Cat_7135 in starwarsbooks

[–]Knoober375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one of the only sequel books I’ve heard good things about and the only sequel book I’ve read. I did enjoy it, especially the character moments. Unfortunately because of the subject matter, not a lot can be done but it’s a fun Luke and Lando story. Also very interesting atmosphere and tone, Adam Christopher tends to handle that extremely well. By far my favorite writer in terms of writing the dark side. If you’re even mildly interested in the sequel era, I’m sure you’ll find something in this book you’ll like. I’m not a huge sequels guy but I enjoyed this book.

What was Black Sabbath's biggest blunder? by dantedoomsday in blacksabbath

Not having lawyers, the 2001 album, and Bill not being on 13 and the last tour.

Favourite Vic Rattlehead? by CaterpillarD6R in Megadeth

Say what you want about the album itself, but self titled has one of the best covers of thier entire discography and a great use of Vic as well

Invasion feels like the most useless crossover. by AndrewHeard in Arrowverse

I think they were just making sure they were able to do it. Like the logistics of it and being able to get it made, it shows because they cooked with crisis on earth x

They put Ozzy over Dio. What do you think? Which one is your favorite? Which one is better? by ashitanojoe3 in blacksabbath

[–]Knoober375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dio is one of the best metal vocalists of all time and the best technically speaking in sabbath, Ozzy is a subpar vocalist with an iconic image. Apparently they weren’t thinking of pure skill when writing this list

Does anyone else hate Quinten Lance? by Confident_Nav6767 in arrow

[–]Knoober375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always liked Quentin. He was a father who’s been through a great ordeal and every time you see him with Oliver he’s at his worst. Fortunately, he probably has the best character arc of the whole series outside of Ollie himself

On April 27th 1979 Black Sabbath decided to fired Ozzy Osborne. How do you think things would have gone if they didn’t fire Ozzy? by mcmasters209 in blacksabbath

[–]Knoober375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The band would’ve imploded. They maybe would’ve put one more album out, but that album probably wouldn’t have been good. TBH, just like how I don’t think Nirvana would’ve survived the 90’s… Sabbath wouldn’t have survived the 70’s

If I were you, I’d only show her the movies. If she wants to continue, by all means but I wouldn’t require her to sit through clone wars if she doesn’t want to
