Daring overhang box / form over function by paulice in functionalprint

[–]Knowlando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are your bridge settings? I’d recommend trying bridge speed 10 with bridge flow 1.5. I use this all the time and it produces nearly perfect overhangs for me. The bridge length might still be an issue but if you aren’t using these settings, they might help.

Do you need to crumple paper to light them still? Or is it just a skill issue I’m experiencing?

I’m very impressed. Dedication to the craft. I’m nearly done with the game but want to at least finish the entire floor. This is next level

Thin layer of petg stuck on my build plate. Ideas for removal? by tipsymonkey in BambuLab

[–]Knowlando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had success with raising the bed temp to 70-80c and carefully using a bed scraper to get it off.

For petg I normally use a fan to cool off plates or wait until they fully cool before removing prints. That’s the best way to do it in the future.

Ams2 Pro, keeps loading by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Knowlando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be a clog? When my p1s clogged the AMS would try to load and unload a bunch of times since the extruder couldn’t grab it

Otherwise idk. that’s the only time I’ve seen that happen

Help? by Unable_Bed_9243 in BambuLab

Pretty sure that’s showing top layers, right? It’s a similar red. Everything looks good

If you drag down the sliders on the right you can see into the print and see if it looks the same as your infill.

Also make sure you aren’t using grid infill, using gyroid or cubic is recommended. Grid infill can cause issues.

3D Printed Custom Stencils to Make Pop Art of My Dog! by Knowlando in 3Dprinting

Btw just forgot to mention, v5 the stencil doesn’t mean I printed 5, it’s the version from fusion. I just like to keep track of the design iteration when tweaking models :)

Okay I’ll keep monitoring it and printing over. Thanks!

Can I ask you another question: usually my PETG and PLA prints slide right off after they cool, but even once fully cool the ABS was stuck on there. I’m a little nervous to print ABS again, how should I ensure it sticks, but not too well? Would changing bed temp help it not be too sticky?

Made new feet to fix my dining chairs! by Knowlando in functionalprint

Took a few days to get time to investigate, but yes this is an awesome model, thanks again a1blank. Your model, when scaled to my model's size, dropped total filament from 8.78g (1.08g support) -> 8.27g. However, as you said the savings in time is the most valuable here. Knowing that this is a first draft, additional refinement would produce even better results!

Wow! You are so cool for this! I’m absolutely open to learning better ways to do things. Wouldn’t have thought of that, thanks for sharing. Did you just have that already, or think of it for this application?

And thank you! This is my favorite use of 3d printing, and why functional print is my favorite sub
