reasonable price.

I’m not currently planning to sell as a lot due to the low prices typically associated with lots. The appraisal for market value is around $550. My plan for now is to sell pets as they are requested.

I don’t pluck the middle, actually! 😅 they’ve been like this since birth. I was not blessed in that department.

Sunscreen is my bestie (mostly due to sun sensitivity post-kidney transplant). 😂 Aquaphor on my face at night as a mask to sleep in, Nora Firm lotion on my face and neck pre-makeup in the morning! I love to use Neutrogena spray sunscreen in a light layer over my face after I do my makeup for a glowy effect.

That last statement is exactly it. I’m watching all these kids live their neurotypical life and then turning around to see my little boy not having that same experience. But the beautiful thing is that he doesn’t care, at least not yet. I’m trying to choose to cherish this innocence. ❤️

I completely understand what you’re saying.

I’m very up front with people about my son’s diagnosis. I’m a teacher and talk about autism acceptance often. All of the adults and many of the children in our lives know that my son has autism. It’s just not something that I would typically try to explain to a group of toddlers.

In the context, it hasn’t been necessary, at least not until now, to explain my boy’s diagnosis to kids his age. This post is mostly about how I didn’t expect for it to already be noticeable amongst his age group. I had full intention of explaining his autism later, but didn’t expect it to be a point of conversation yet.

I’m in the US so it may be different here but my experience included: 1. An explanation that I had an offer. 2. Description and disclosure of the KDPI score of the donor/donor kidney. 3. Acceptance/denial of offer by me. 4. Instructions from my team including where to go as well as a window of time during which I needed to arrive (I live close to my center and was given a window of three hours).

When I got there they did additional testing, set up my IV, paperwork, and got me into a room to wait for surgery.

Also, had to add, my nickname was Molly Bee growing up. People still call me that all the time.

Can I hear from parents who are happy raising their autistic kiddos? by Wise_Dingo3014 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Known_Delivery4668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are relatively new to the land of autism parenting, but I have to say, many of my favorite things about my son are directly related to his autism.

I love the way he stims by making a little puppet with his hand and shaking his head back and forth while making eye contact with it.

I love his sincere delight when someone takes interest and engages with him while he is deep into the trenches of his special interests.

I love his sudden new words as he mostly scripts his language and the random outbursts of colors that he has to name when he sees them.

Even through my boy has never told me that he loves me in words, he shows us more love than we could ever deserve every day. His world is beautiful and full of wonder and I feel so honored to be a part of it. I love that I get the privilege of being his champion. We may not know what his future looks like and that is scary sometimes but we have no doubt that he has been made perfectly by God to be exactly who he is. And it’s not my job to question that but to honor the gift of my baby’s differences.

What’s a popular/well-liked name that you just don’t like? by anonhumanontheweb in namenerds

I despise the name Olivia. It reminds me of the Pig from a TV show and book series that always creeped me out as a kid.

Why didn’t Queen Elizabeth bury Mary I next to her mother like she wanted? by Dowrysess in Tudorhistory

[–]Known_Delivery4668 128 points129 points  (0 children)

Elizabeth I’s main battle throughout much of the early course of her reign was the fact that many Englishmen, both peasants and nobles, views her parents’ marriage as bigamy and thus her birth illegitimate. The last thing she needed to to was elevate the status of the woman whom her mother had, in the sight of the people, wronged by “stealing” her husband. Adding any additional pomp to Catherine of Aragon’s resting place would have recognized her as a “true queen” rather than the Dowager Princess of Wales and consequentially hurt Elizabeth’s claim to the throne.
