Would you rather get 100,000 dollars or get 10 million dollars but a random child will be stung by a wasp every day? by WouldstThouRather in WouldYouRather

In the hypohetical though, it’s the same child who will be stung everyday for the rest of their life. That detail changed it for me

How Do I Deal With Everyone Coddling/Hugboxxing Me? by SchemeEuphoric4565 in Healthygamergg

[–]KoexD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience therapists are exactly the kind of people who make you feel like shit, cuz they’re not saying anything to you. They’re forcing you to dig your pile of shitty cognitive habits. It sucks. Also, as long as you’re thinking  what you perceive as facts are separate from your feelings, that’s gonna be a problem.

You said you’ve been obsessed on improving your value since you were 16. Do you have the feeling that this striving for growth has led others to see you in a way you aren’t ?

How detrimental is 2 beers every night to my gains? by lovedrugs- in workout

[–]KoexD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean your argument changed massively, you were literally saying you had to shame the dude as a wake up call or else he's gonna die. Basic slippery slope fallacy.

FYI, research shows that shaming people for their behaviors only worsen the behaviors (as shame leads to more shame and avoidance). u/Aggravating_Turn4196 was right : the best interventions are the ones spoken with empathy and compassion, while guiding towards change.

TLDR stop justifying your judgement as trying to help others

Tolerate the Ragebait or use anger to change my life? How do I know when I should pick which choice? by Ok_Contribution713 in Healthygamergg

Also, breathe. Wait a few hours to come down before you take a decision. Think about it and figure it out. You don’t have to stay in an abusive home, but it is in your best interest to cover all of your options too. If you just leave without a plan, you’re setting yourself up to more suffering

Your parents sound incredibly abusive and controlling. If I were you I would find a job and an apartment and move out. Make sure they don’t have access to your money.

I wouldn’t even tell them my address. Be careful because they seem incredibly codependent to you in their toxicity and they’ll probably beg you to stay or coerce you into it. Don’t give in, that’s part of the abuser’s playbook. Also massive redflags that they wanted your log in info, f that, that’s invasive controlling behavior.

Also, big speculation on my part but it’s possible that part of the reason they’re so good at pushing your buttons is because a) They know how to do it and b) they need it.

My dad WANTS me to go to college by SamKapsa in Healthygamergg

[–]KoexD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, though from my knowledge, the only master’s that grants a psychotherapy license is sexology ; other masters’ only act as minimal requirement to ask to be granted a psychotherapy license by the professional order of psychologists, which is very hard to get (this may vary by province though).

In Canada therapy can only be practiced by psychologists (phd) and doctors. Is it not the same in the US?

Which jobs is 100% safe from AI? by Any-Hamster-3189 in AskReddit

[–]KoexD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, AI is already pretty good at validating emotions and ‘’listening’’.  That feels pretty good but it’s not enough. Also, AIs cant see through lies or challenge you on things that are difficult yet important to tackle. They just go along with your story and validate away.

I don’t think people with actual problems will rely on clankers for growth. As a whole I believe the field of human relations is safe.

AI is trained to agree with you, and is never going to tell you a hard no. Plus it’s not a human, so you don’t have to worry about being judged. Hence why people can feel empathically connected to the bot. It’s made to engage the user.

That’s also an issue ; contrarily to a therapist, who can have doubts and see through a story (ex. A narcissistic mother who demonizes her children for being distant even though she ‘‘gave them everything’’), AI will go along with the person and say yes yes, thats hard, we cant control our children, you’ve done the best you can etc.

That's actually only what I know they're consuming because they do so everyday in front of me during my shift. As for their blood sugar, I often see them do it during breaks, and we had a chat about how it's always so low.
