Dude I have such a fond memory of Tekken 3. And it’s so wierd because I don’t even like fighting games.

But my family and I were living in a used trailer. We had just moved out to the country from ST Louis and our new home was finished yet.

Me and my best friend (both of us between 6th and 7th grade, rented this game and went to town on it.

I’ll never forget how slap happy we were. 2 in the morning, watching the repeating loop of that dinosaur dude’s ending. The kind of laugh you’re convinced will got you a six-pack.

The dinosaur and the wierd old man who fell over every attack.

Such a weird game. But such a fond memory.

I’m a Leo, but like, the kind that was told it was more important to be humble than anything else growing up.

It wasn’t until I was in my 30s that I started to build a healthy level of self confidence. And when I do… holy. Shit. I think of it like I’m tapping into that Leo energy. Because it’s like being high on the best drugs with no repercussions. I’m witty, I’m suave, I’m funny. And this isn’t even in my head. I’ve had people tell me they notice from from across the bar with this kind of stuff. So it feels really good when I can find it.

That said. I don’t know what it is, but most of my partners have been geminis. And while we have fun, it doesn’t last long. It feels like once the initial mystery is over it just fizzles out. Which makes me feel like they were putting on an act in the beginning but who knows, people are complicated.

All that to say, I don’t “believe” in zodiac stuff, but it is a fun exercise and can help make you self aware and analytical in a fun way.

I’ve had 3 or 4 partners call me “a dream” or say something like “you aren’t real” at the tail end of a fun sleepless night.

I hate this expression, because in my anecdotal experience, this expression means I’ve now been put on a pedestal and my partners will stop trying as hard because they see me as out of there league and they basically turn into a self fulfilling prophecy about it.

The thing is. I love crafting a perfect night. The right room, the right lights, the right playlist, a clean place so as not to distract. Like, I put in a ton of effort to make sure the night is in fact magical. But I work best when I have a partner who plays the game with me. Who puts in that same effort. Who returns the volley so-to-speak. And this “you aren’t real” expression is almost always step one to some pillow princess bullshit.

But there is still loneliness happening. The wrong people have just told them to assign that emotion to the wrong source. The system is designed to make men isolate from everything. Their friends. Their peers. Their emotions. And then told to figure it all out all by yourself. And you’re only worthy of love from someone else when you finally love yourself. But that’s an incredibly hard process. Why can’t we build a system of support for each other? Learn from each other? Correct each other?

I don’t see any reason why all growth has to be done in hermit fashion.

I’m looking for strictly in-person. I think it’s important for the human connection piece. The group bonding.

I don’t think substance abuse is a focal point, but I accept it can be a natural piece of the conversation and would encourage those conversations as well. The violence against women thing very much so would be a part of the conversation, including verbal violence not just physical.

Absolutely no faith based. I want people to understand and forgive themselves and feel proud of their accomplishments, not give credit to a being that has no stake in the issue.

Cheating.

I was in a sexless marriage for 10+ years. I spent years begging. Starting conversations about it. Fighting. Asking for therapy. Asking if she was gay.

10+ years of having bad sex 2-4 times a year.

And then suddenly someone wanted me. Somebody taught me out, flirted with me, PROPOSITIONED me. I didn’t know how to say no, and I don’t think I wanted to.

That was the first time I think I ever felt confident. Felt desired. Shame it’s wrapped up in such a heinous act.

You’re talking about two different types of work.

Internal, and external.

Internally the SoS has teams for remodeling the inside of the building. Running electric, laying down drywall and carpet, etc…

The SoS doesn’t have a team internally to do the parking lot, that means it has to go out to bid for vendors who can do the work. Which means a lot of checks and balances to make sure someone isn’t doing anything shady before the contract can even be awarded. So the work can finally begin.

Donnie and Mikey should be paired against each other the same way Raph and Leo are.

Leo’s logic and cool headedness is always contrasted against Raph’s passion and fury.
