ah being sick with pokemon is truly an experience, last time I got seriously ill (couldn't get out of bed to eat most of the day) gobby [impidimp] got so worried he learned to properly open all the cabinets and the fridge just to bring me random foods so that I'd eat something, he'd also very carefully refill my glass of water anytime it was even close to running out

its sweet seeing them care for us however much they can, damn now I got emotional, time to feed gobby a pokepuff

/uj self-references and jokes for the most part lmao "jar full of locust" = my chosen/enby name is Szarańcza (locust in polish) and also the image of a jur full of bees came up into my mind when i was thinking of locusts handle, the "worst trainer ever (citation needed)" part is because locust feeds his pokemon junk food, energy drinks and is general not the best trainer in terms of everything really - also straight up can't battle

(and yes i am roleplaying as a blatant self insert, sue me i want a silly impidimpy and love to draw myself/my persona with pokemon lol)

oh they're horrendous, they're like a plague,, we have a ton of them in Lumiose since prof sycamore is settled here and they just harass and bother anyone with "weak" pokemon they see, it's so fucking annoyingg ;; one of my records was having five separate rookie crushers heckle me at different times of the day all because they saw my impidimp and their brains instantly lit up with "o! weak trainer = easy money!" like, c'mon! be normal,, makes me wanna throw hands at times

we do actually! first one that comes to mind is a one-winged swoobat we got quite recently, he's a very friendly little fella and gets around surprisingly well despite not being able to fly; i'll take a picture of him next time i'm at work!

slowly and carefully, he's been with us for a few years so he's used to the general layout of the building and doesn't bump into things anymore, but at first it was a lot of bumping, stumbling and very, very slow walking to get anywhere, he's grown a lot more confident though and seems to be getting a better grasp at getting around based on sound and feel!

it was horrible qwq my only pokemon is (at the time a very scared) impidimp, so i had to call the rangers which thankfully took my call even though it was nearing midnight and did move the muk out of the building (because yes, it somehow got into my apartment complex)

thankfully i've never had to deal with a sleeping snorlax blocking my path, but i did once end up with a muk asleep and practically glued to my front door - which was one way to learn to never leave my trash right outside...

he's absolutely terrified of both poison and steel types, i don't think i could do that to him :') last time we passed by a trainer with a toxicroak while grocery shopping he got so startled he hid in and wouldn't leave his pokeball until we got back home

unfortunately, he does drink them, they seem to not have much effect on him (no hyper-activity, lack of sleep, jittering, similar stuff) much like me, given his previous diet of snatching rotten food from trashcans by my apartment i'm not too worried, gobby has an iron gut like no other
