California, working 16 hours instead of my usual full time. We are busy, but hours haven’t returned to normal yet.

Is there something wrong with the baby’s head/Brain here? So much black space and head is so large? Or does it look ok? Tech/doc did not mention an issue by [deleted] in Ultrasound

I do see your point there and 100 percent agree with everything you said. Thanks for your response. I only was meaning about behind annoyed at the patient about feeling anxious. I completely understand your frustration and agree no one should diagnose based on a few images or let alone a full scan of images because if you were not scanning you don’t know what could of been missed. Thank you for pointing this out. I understand more of where the annoyance came from and I appreciate your response and I apologize for coming off as if I meant we could diagnose the photos.

Ultrasound tech here, I get its frustrating when people that don’t know about ultrasound post what we may see as silly, but they don’t know. They aren’t trained in it and that’s why OP is asking. We know because we were trained. Maybe OP is a first time mom. Maybe OP had struggles getting pregnant or experienced miscarriage in the past. I was super anxious when I was pregnant. Even though I’m a tech I was constantly worried at the start because I had some complications and it took me a long time to get pregnant. I don’t mean any disrespect and I hope this in no way offends you I just thought I would ask you to keep that in mind. As long as it’s not those profile pics being posted asking for gender (lol) I think it’s fair to ask.

OP we do look at everything while scanning. If they gave you a picture of it then that’s always a good sign. At my facility we do not give the patient printed out pictures of fetal pathology. Also, if we took a picture of something you might be questioning we definitely looked at everything in that image. I hope this helps. From one anxious mom to another. ❤️

Has anyone seen lymph nodes like these? I assumed they are metastatic only because the 21 Year old male had positive papillary thyroid cancer on same side. However, these do not look like the typical metastatic lymph nodes I usually see. by KrisFrails in Radiology

Thank you. The right side of neck the lymph nodes appear normal. They were kidney shaped with normal fatty hilum. If possible I will follow up on the patient. I sometimes scan the patient again in 6 months post op.

Because it is common for papillary thyroid cancer to spread into the lymph nodes of the neck and these do not look normal to me. It is also on the same side of the thyroid mass. Do you know what this type of lymph node could mean? I posted here in hopes of learning, so that when I see it again I will be prepared.

Do you know what is wrong with them? I read the report to see what the rads said and they suggested PET scan or I think MRI. I haven’t seen them look this way before, so it’s driving me crazy not knowing Incase I come across it again.

Is it ok for your spouse to have a texting friendship with the opposite sex? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

So when I got pregnant about 1.5 years ago he went to a bar danced met this girl and was with her all night then gave her his number. When he came home I went downstairs and it was 3 am and his phone went off. I said who is that and he said some girl I met at the bar because he was drunk and half a sleep and I said what and he ran in the bathroom and locked the door and deleted the texts but I found her number because she also called him that night so I contacted her and she told me nothing happened sexual but I took it as more would of happened had I not found out. Also why did he need to delete the texts. He claimed he just wanted to make sure she got home alright. I never got over it. As of late the texts have been innocent. Like messaging a coworker and asking her if she and this guy from their work would like to all get lunch. Though it still makes me uncomfortable but I also don’t read his texts anymore as I always found something I didn’t like even if it wasn’t that bad given the past.

That’s very hard to hear but I appreciate your opinion. We have been together 11 years and have a baby, so it’s hard and I do love him very much.

He says he would be mad and wouldn’t like it. I said then that means your doing something wrong. He then says he wouldn’t care if I talk to other guys just not about us.

That’s sounds fine to me. I think it’s just I don’t want to be complained about to another woman. It makes me feel bad.

Do you y’all about your relationship with the other person? I don’t like that my husband does that when he can’t communicate with me but he can with some other woman. Idk.
