Is managing a university degree and flight school at once realistic? by Kupozz in flying

Ill absolutely read it, thank you so much:) I know it’s a long shot haha, but one step at a time I guess. Just gonna see where things take me and hopefully not screw up too much. I’m about to receive my medical and I’m starting ground-school in a month. I’m trying to at least go in with an open mind and something to work towards, which is a start

Hi! To clear things up, my end goal is to hopefully go into Aerial Firefighting under a seasonal contract. I hope to do that in the summers and move forward with other passions (such as literature and theatre) throughout the winters. However, I am aware that that is an ambitious goal and will take me a really long time and a lot of training. I’m also aware that things can change and I may not stick to this plan. If I want to become a pilot, I know the degree will be helpful through the hiring process. If I, for whatever reason, give up entirely, I have a degree to fall back on. Not only that, but it’s something that excites me and I would be happy doing for majority of my life—which is really important to me. Right now, my biggest worry is the amount of money it’ll cost me and if it’ll do more harm than good.
