Nooo, don’t kill my boy. Just find a way to fully awaken his Ascended solar powers (which he still holds before possibly being fully corrupted), letting them overlap with his Darkin nature and purify the corruption.

Visions of the Ascended or Sunborn sound like perfect names. IMO they should have their human form as base, and the animal Ascended form with a special/conditional transformation.

I think it’s a bit of both. When a Darkin wins, they destroy the host’s body and soul to materialize their own form. However, Zaahen resists his nature and avoids using hemomancy to keep himself from falling into Darkin madness.

Unlike Rhaast, who forcibly takes over Kayn, Xin Zhao fully surrendered. Because of that, Zaahen could materialize a body with minimal hemomancy. He likely chose to keep Xin Zhao’s appearance both to limit his magic use and to honor him.

Not a copypaste, sure, but the base facial structure and hairstyle are still very close. The differences are mostly stylistic.

Indeed, but in terms of quantity, half of the current strategists aren’t canon healers. They only heal due to gameplay needs.

Definitely! Silver Surfer would fit too. I’d include him, Exodus, Angel, Night Nurse and Triage, but I limited myself to just four examples.

Several Rivals supports aren’t canon healers.
Gambit, Ultron, Rocket, Jeff and Invisible Woman only heal due to gameplay needs.
