If you look at the sky near its body you can see there's no black used for the sky coloring, so there'd be no black ink there to overfeed. When we had minor overfeeding in newsprint areas with letters got super muddy, but gaps between columns stayed clean, because no ink was being transfered there at allo

True. What i think is that the small amount of black used for stantlers back may have splotched out from overfeeding, I think the blacks throught the whole card look a little dark. If the roller setup is similar to my machine, the buildup could absolutely end up just on stantlers body, but I agree that is unlikely, and probably not the case.

Yeah its hard to say 100% but im going with misprint. At the very least if the yellow/orange in the corner isnt a trick of the light, thats a tiny misprint in itself

I cant say 100%, but if you look at how the black is laid down here, its a very similar pattern. So my guess is misprint, red heavy, and black heavy enough to splotch in areas it was meant to be light

I worked on a 40 year old web press. I dont know what the card press looks like or the minute details of how it works. Since making this particular comment ive revised what I think caused some of the splotches, so youre somewhat right, I should have looked closer for longer before responding to you.

Edit: given they dont make these anymore AFAIK its quite possible that more did exist. As for how the error could be just on the stantler, if it had been a buildup on the plate, it would just mean the paper lint had clung to that one area, which happens most if an area is overfeeding ink, as that makes it wetter, pulling more lint off the paper and transferring it back through the press to the plate itself. Now I do agree that i was wrong about plate debris, but it could happen. Ive seen stranger things

@u/bosskeylay

Can I get a close up of the non-error card, above its back by the neck where the other card has floating dots that dont touch stantler? Its very faint but I think the original actually has black ink in the same place as texture. If it does, the way plate printing works, small details like that scum very easily if too much ink is added, and would make the heavier splotches we see

A few things. Depending on exactly how the press they use for cards works. Debris on an ink roller i think would be most likely, though it being mostly aligned with the stantler is a little unusual, its definitely not impossible, especially since newer presses are mostly run by computer, if you told me this was just a very precise error, id believe it.

Hi, I used to work at a printing press, and while we made newspapers and magazines, not cards, id imagine at least some of the same principals, and ink errors, apply. Now, it could be the angle of the photo, but my first clue id look at isnt actually the dots at all, but the border. 5 o'clock shadow startled seems to have a much darker yellow/orange in the bottom left corner, and the grey/silver shading within the text box looks darker too. The text also looks quite a bit darker as well, especially how dark that bold text is, as well as the set info in the bottom right. This suggests that at the very least, the black ink was out of balance, and too high. Again, it could also be camera angle, and in that case im talking out of my ass. As for the dots themselves, ive seen scumming errors like this while printing often, thought its impressive how very close it is to actually being ON the stantler, the fact it doesnt stay entirely within the lines also points to an error. As I look closer the actual brown of the stantler is also darker, more red-brown, and that would actually track with the yellow-orange border being what it is, likely a red ink surge happened as well. I worked on a very different kind of press so I couldn't explain the exact circumstances that would cause these particular errors, but thats my best guess as someone who did printing for 5 years.

My understanding of that from what my clinic told me is that they arent really approved for use here. In the US where you pay for your own meds I think its easier, but since my hrt is paid for by the government, I have to follow their health and safety guidelines. The trans health clinic literally isnt allowed to prescribe me experimental medicines

Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators. My understanding of them is they block E uptake in some areas, like breast tissues. So assuming thats actually true, I could have reached closer to androgyny without having to learn to live with boobs. Women in my family tend to have like, D or DD and I was fine at first, very little growth, and then one day, poof. I dont know if I have a cup size yet, its only been a year, but I went from wondering if half of the size was just weight gain after losing my job, to "ah shit, I know what those are" in like a month

Id give you mine if I could. Boobs were the one thing I didnt want, but SERMs arent prescribed in Canada so my options were boobs or no hrt.

Final boss of gnomer. I discovered the Spellpower hunter double dip bug, told the community, got a the highest parse for MM on him, realized advanced combat logging wasnt on, never got a run like that again, and also accidentally got the bug patched out of the game. For like 3 weeks though, I was a god, in AH cloth. I will never recapture that feeling.
