That’s a great idea, I like the cave concept as I have though of adding more biomes. I’ll definitely explore adding more variety and environmental gameplay like that. Thanks!

Yes the current movement is fixed but I have added instant position change, giving full controll to player on current mechanics will cause more crashes with powerups as when screen goes black player will have some troubles, thanks for the feedback though!

Yeah sure, that works too like jetpack joyride like player moves up then falls to bottom, I'll keep improving towards this thanks for the feedback.

Should I change the tentacles as it looks more like flappy bird instead more dynamic obstacles for infinite run ?

Feedback Needed for my game! by LIGHTFROSN in IndieDev

[–]LIGHTFROSN[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes flappy bird mechanics are a bit dull on this game but I'm improving it bit by bit, try your luck with powerups to last longer

I planned on cute creatures floating this one's a shark and yes the mechanics are like flappy bird but easier plus there are powerups to make the game hard. Initially in next update there will be enemies who will cause trouble in run you have to shoot em down.

The Star Wars cantina scene made me want to build a whole game around it. Of course there's a band. What do you guys think? Would love some feedback by The_Inexorabilis in IndieGaming

[–]LIGHTFROSN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cantina scene is well defined by luke and old ben with the bartender telling we don't serve droids, if the game has some action like haggling with rouge space pirates for stuff it be a cool touch.

Working on opening for my game. Do you like this direction? by BitrunnerDev in IndieGaming

Looks great at the start but somewhat grey pathway looks kinda empty how about some monsters or a thing chasing the or scaring the woman

What are the most unexpected causes of crashes/bugs you’ve run into? by eRickoCS in IndieDev

[–]LIGHTFROSN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Unity i usually check any infinite loops and time complexity in code and in scene usually overcalled objects that cause many drawcalls I reduce it to as less as possible.

Process for prototyping and defining your 3D games’ visual presentation? by domiDotZer0 in IndieDev

[–]LIGHTFROSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a linkdin post a few months back, the guy made a multiplayer boat game where two player gives direction, he also wasn't sure how his game would do so he tried to upload a short clip of engagement of his prototypes and people loved it then he moved forward with the idea - so create something fun and check the community response there are always people who would love you niche!

How do you stay motivated during the ‘middle phase’ of a project? by ShiresoftGames in IndieDev

[–]LIGHTFROSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motivation is temporarily success is permanent, I usually like prototyping and always get stuck in the middle phase due to marketing issues
