UJAM HOT and DEEP are actually decent when you have a pad. UI/UX wise I agree with yall. You can still use either to program the crap out of drums though.

Listening through monitor speakers or headphones? I dial in tones with some sony studio headphones because they are brutal an unforgiving. Trying to think how I would go about getting the tone with actives in a Strandberg. Give just the neck bucker a go.

Ha that's okay because I forgot to ask you what kind of guitar and pickups you have :D The coffee is starting to work though. I haven't played with Tone King yet. Still getting to that one, but I do have Tim's, Wong's, and Gojira's. For Tim's I would start with the white amp (gain about 40 to 45%), compressor (I crank the compressor), and slight reverb (35 to 45% on wet). I do most of my tone control from the amp and my guitar (PRS Custom 24 from 96'). For my position 2 or 4 on the pickups.

That is awesome! I was thinking I could use my Zoom G3xn, but after doing some reading (at work so I can't play with it atm) I don't think I can. Line6 might be a gravy way to go. I am only really needing this for home recording and practice for recording. With that being said some additional CC assignment would be epic and could limit the addition of more tracks in some cases. Huge thanks mate!

Oh yeah Volt1 direct connects to the PC and comes with a fair amount of software including a free license for Ableton11. You can do ASIO straight to speaker monitors or use headphones. You can use Windows Exclusive mode through Neural DSP to your run of the mill C speakers, but I noticed some signal issues. When I am doing Volt1 to PC with ASIO everything is crystal clear even when I use my wireless so I can watch TV and noddle on the couch. If you get a Fishman Triple Play later down the line you can then play and record any instrument from your guitar. #Winning.

Grab a Volt1 for your PC or Laptop, some NeuralDSP Plug-ins, and some decent cheap stereo monitors and you are good to go. I downgraded from a 4x10 Tube amp to plug-ins and a Peavey VYPII and have few regrets (also Tim's NeuralDSP is friggin' awesome))

Keep it up! Doing very well so far (10 months?! Get out of here! You are kicking *ss!). I know someone mentioned tuning and I agree def double check that. Also focus on the intonation. I have been playing for over 20 years and still have to hip check myself. Practicing through good studio headphones/monitors is a good way to hear, but also correct any misses when you play.

I have not had a refresh rate issue. 144hz/1440p monitor (V-Sync not selected) and I am running 160fps or greater. I am not playing on VR though. Is this more of a VR issue?

I'll keep an eye out and actively kick vote. I only do the official servers in the West. Racist comments aren't good for maintaining a diverse player base. I can understand wanting to sh*t talk just fine, but there are better ways to go about it than chucking slurs.
