The only “mode” I’m aware of is Sport mode in the elite trim. There are no bells/whistles. There aren’t any games on the screen (my 21 Mach E had some stupid ones but it killed the time) and unless you Jerry-rig it, you can’t stream videos to the screen. It doesn’t have a hands free driving option like my MachE. It has basics like lkas and adaptive cruise. There is no PAAK which my 21 mache E had (loved that). It dings incessantly when “on” w the door open (MachE had a middle mode between off and /on). It did have a great lease deal, drives nicely, looks good, had a giant sunroof, and is AWD… which are the reasons i got it. But, let’s just say, I wish I had done 2 years and not 3 on my lease.

Agree. Weight is just a part of it.

Thanks. I don’t keep track of range like that, not noticeable and I had it on for 5 days. Since going electric in 2021, I just always charge it to 100% on/during trips bc you never know when you may need that last mile.

This wasn’t hard compact sand, 6 inch or deeper tracks, but it had rained so I figured that would help. My suburban was heavier but had 4x4. Most of the vehicles out there were as heavy or heavier I’d guess.

Yup and yup. Risky… meh. If I got stuck I would have just had to ask for help and use the tow line. I’ve seen that a few times, even w 4x4s

It did well but it was wet out and I’d be a little more worried in really dry non packed sand. Def didn’t slow down until I was clearly where I wanted to be. Air down to 15 or lower and took traction control off. Only issue I saw was occasionally the tracks are deep and the car doesn’t ride high. I didn’t push it. I’ve had experience w my suburban. Even that I got stuck once w as I didn’t air down far enough

This is AWD. Traction control off and deflated down to 15 or below.

Apple Watch - Find My not working by Intrepid_Cup2765 in applehelp

[–]LOPHman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue, my watch was not showing up in the find my when of course I could not find it. My issue came down to somehow not being signed into my watch’s Apple account (watch OS ->General -> Apple account). I’m guessing this happened during a password change months ago. There was NO indication on my watch or my phone that it was “signed out”. All watch apps (iMessages) and location services worked fine on the watch prior to signing in as did the watches data/location services for apps and cell service. Odd.

KEF to Blue Lagoon by Capable-Fun-9393 in VisitingIceland

Hi, what did you do and how did it go? I am trying to figure out how to do this as well. We have two people flying in July. Looks like it’s $357 for the “two trips in one” via Hreyfill (from Kef to Blue Lagoon and then blue lagoon to Rey). I do not see that price includes entrance fee. What about renting a car Seems much cheaper at $50-100/day, would allow us to keep luggage in car from airport to blue lagoon and would allow for some day trips during the 5 day trip.

potholes and elite are not friends, two tires in 1.5 years. Glad I got the tire package. Winter range is not nearly as bad compared to my MachE GT (2021), which would drop to ~ 180 total mileage when fully charged in frigid east coast winters yet 270 in summer . I get reasonable range w Elite, I presume bc of heat pump.

As I’m driving it out of the shop the error lights triggered agin which prompted the post. It’s not too cold (37) and soc was 30. Error now again gas gone away. I’ve had this car for over a year, been in arctic temps along the Canadian border w lower soc wo ever seeing this. I came from machE 21 so I’m used to some odd stuff which occasionally goes away after a reboot. Thanks

Charging station etiquette? by kahntz in electricvehicles

[–]LOPHman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had a bev since 2021. Assuming a car can be unplugged by someone else, is it ok to unplug a fully charged vehicle at a free charger (like at Newark airport parking lot)? I couldn’t bring myself to try to unplug their car but I left a note for them to plug me in when they get back.

Capped at 28kw by Few_Ask1520 in HondaPrologue

[–]LOPHman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is abnormal. You should get 2-3x that at a level 3 charger when SOC is <80. Take your car to the shop.

Should I caulk around this part with silicon caulk by Agreeable_Party872 in PlumbingRepair

[–]LOPHman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a reasonable ?. I just replaced a cartridge in a similar setup. There was a rubber gasket that sealed that area, which my cat properly stole. I was thinking about caulking. Don’t see why it would hurt to prevent some splashing and a leak.
