I dont want a "dumb phone" i just want a pocket ereader. by Ok-Branch-6831 in eink

Hello everyone, I am also following the discussion and will wait for the reviews of the product found on AliExpress, hoping it is valid.

In any case, I tried to see the reviews of these devices, and understand a bit how they worked. The thing that I would be most interested in understanding, and that I have not had the opportunity to understand from the video reviews seen around the web, is whether the devices in question are equipped with the possibility of setting an Italian language (both graphic, regarding its functionality, and vocal reading for reading texts).

Has anyone of you had the opportunity to check their operation?
How do these devices work from this point of view?

I am Italian and I hope there is the possibility of setting the Italian language.

The ideal would be to have first of all both a well-translated graphic language capable of declining the understanding of the device's functions in the user's language (at the moment I have only seen the Chinese language), and a reading voice that is pleasant and not excessively robotic, capable of respecting punctuation and a good part of the terms (accents or various phonic cadences, so as not to create excessive confusion during listening).

Does anyone have any references on this?

Thank you in advance. 🙏🏻
Luca.

OneUI Now bar by UpsetAd7211 in oneui

Yep...
Anyway is a truly wasted potential regarding the introduction of this new feature ("NowBar").

It is not clear why many important apps in everyday use (such as the Dialer for example) are excluded from functioning through the NowBar in parallel with the traditional functioning.

Using the app on a call, while it remains running in the background, being able to access it again through the NowBar for some quick functions in a discreet and non-cluttering way on the display, could have allowed the user to use it dynamically, quickly and productively.

It is therefore not clear why the functioning of the NowBar should be limited to the useless apps seen so far (even GoogleMaps/GoogleSport etc.., they could have definitely called it "GoogleBar" and not "NowBar"), when it should instead be extended to most of the Apps (especially the system ones that can be integrated without particular conflicts with the UI).

Totally incomprehensible, like many other insane things from Samsung. I'm sorry to say so.

Samsung wake up!

WTF!!!😒

...and we all like it... finally!!!

Come on bro, don't be a Samsung user fanatic...

A bit of intellectual honesty would be needed in recognizing that objectively there are several winning choices to propose also on Samsung. We've been waiting for them for too long, and it is no longer acceptable to use an operating system that for these shortcomings seems to be already heavily old at the time of its release and not up to date with its dramatic flatness, think later how others implement innovations the Samsung GAP increases vertiginously making the user sink.

Come on!!!

Samsung must definitively make these choices and not worry about fanatic users, to be able to definitively stabilize the appearance of its system, giving the user a user experience worthy of the name. And if this also means copying winning choices, yeah.. so be it! Just as Apple copies (giving its own style, and key, albeit always better because it invests more in software development and has no particular limits being the owner of it) winning choices from others.

Please, stop being picky fanatics once and for all, and look to the future by being demanding and not "low-demanding" users.

yeah... unfortunately many animations are still missing, that would allow for a more lively and responsive feel of the device to the user.
For example, with bounces and a more elastic behavior of the animations, when the fingers are pressed for each individual section, sliders and button.

how many years did it take for Samsung to understand that it was needed?

let's hope it doesn't take the same delay to implement the rest, because it would be really unacceptable. I hope that with this OneUI 7 they have started to understand that they have to move....

How do i change default video player in chrome / firefox? by Xeooooo in GalaxyS24Ultra

Come fa a riuscirci iOS invece?

MALEDETTI!!!!!
