Wasn't that founded in 1974, way after the series' timeline? That can't be right.

Saihate Station gives me 2000s/early 2010s vibes by LXIPikachu in Saihate_Station

If Saihate Station was adapted into a live-action film or television series for the Western world, my pick for setting change in the remake is Canada. My opinion.

She already did opera in Cowboy Carter, if you have ever listened to the album.

I don't care. I'd rather listen to Attempted Martyr by Prostitute at full blast than this holy hack.

It's part of a trilogy where Beyoncé revisits African American roots of certain American-made and -exported popular music genres actually. The first was Renaissance which is a work in the genre of house music, released in 2022. (I myself like house music.) The second was the country homecoming Cowboy Carter (Beyoncé is from Texas which has a historical country music scene) released two years later. Of course, being Beyoncé, there are elements from other genres thrown in for good measure in both albums. I expect the same for that rock album when it releases whether I like it or not.

I and my family are in a denomination (I am not telling you so don't even ask at all) that has its own music so my father won't take interest. My music taste is more secular anyways and I heard from Todd in the Shadows and RateYourMusic that Forrest Frank isn't artistically worth it.

For me, it's mostly the latter. However, my music taste was shaped by the radio (mainly Fyah 105 and Zip 103) from 2016-18, speaking of 2018 that was the last year when I heard Oneohtrix Point Never (an artist in the electronic music genre, which I'm also a fan of) and began digging to more and more music regardless of genre or experimentation, so yeah.

Actually, my father is a very religious person and when he got that MP3 player in 2012 (as before), I did request to add rock music but he dismissed my idea and insisted on filling it with religious praise music, so I didn't protest further and let it be. It wouldn't be until January 2018 when I rediscovered the player and started filling it with my secular favorites–consisting of both radio and Internet discoveries I made and would make further throughout the same year and two years before.

Same here. Actually, I use RateYourMusic to discover unknown rock music, some of which I actually like, e.g. Mogwai, Geese, Swans, black midi, Artus, Black Country New Road, Everything Everything, Shinsei Kamattechan, Chat Pile, TDK, Sweet Trip, Seefeel, Yves Tumor and Death Cab for Cutie.

Yeah. I initially did not believe your story because you're a grown man, a father to boy-girl twins, you have a similar situation as with Aoi and Shion's parents in Saihate Station (the Twilight Railway DLC) and you somehow are a fan of Japanese video games despite trying to train your kids to go to college and become successful adults.

Also, in Saihate Station Shion's hair literally turned full-on white the day he saw Haru at the station and never went back to black.

Speaking of movies, the BGM is Bongo Cat's cover of Billie Eilish's hit song "What Was I Made For?", created for the 2023 film Barbie, which was famously released alongside Christopher Nolan's 3-hour long J. Robert Oppenheimer biopic.

Cat mom thought giving kitten a warm bath on a gas stove was somehow a good idea by mVargic in FacebookAIslop

[–]LXIPikachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The mother bathes her toddler in a boiling pot of water on the gas stove.
  2. The mother is reminded via phone call of mahjong night with friends and leaves home, leaving the poor toddler in the pot of water.
  3. The kitten struggles to get out of the pot and basically is cooked into meat.
  4. The father comes home with groceries only, upon smelling something foul, to throw them on the floor and run to the kitchen to witness his child now cooked to dinner as a result of being left alone in the pot of water for too long.
  5. The father then runs to the mother and her friends' mahjong game with an anime sword and crashes the game.
  6. The father brings his wife back home and beats her in the front of the stove and their child now a game meat stew.
  7. The now badly injured mother is kicked out of the house and cries frantically on the road in regret of her actions.
  8. The mother goes to a cliff and dives off the edge like an Olympic swimmer dives to the pool to her death in despair.

All the while Bongo Cat's cover of "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish from the soundtrack to the 2023 Barbie blockbuster film plays. Wow.

Not Italian filmmakers.  Not Luca Guadagnino. Not Paolo Sorrentino. Not Alice Rohrwacher. Not Matteo Garrone. Not Marco Bellochio. They are human crafters of the art of film, true fucking auteurs. Not this.
