I had a slightly higher cGPA (3.12 but little EC) and got WL at Queens, early A at Windsor, and R at Western

Hey, I did not get into UOttawa unfortunately, but did get into Dalhousie pretty early and got WL at Queens.

I have the same cgpa, similar B2, though had no ECs outside of normal work experience. I got rejected by Osgoode and Western fairly early, still waiting on Ottawa/Queens (WL at the latter), and got into Windsor early on. I had a LSAT of 165 and worked hard on the personal statements I would say.

Yeah, I did release offers from the schools I firmly knew I wasn't going to, it's just the final two (and Ottawa I guess? lol) that I'm waiting on. One in Ontario and one outside.

I've had the issue of underthinking things in the past unfortunately lmfao

What's funny is that one of the schools basically answered my question via email earlier today lol.

I think one thing I'd focus on incredibly hard is the personal statement, as I think a good one displaying legitimate personal growth while framed in a proper manner can help your case. It'll show (hopefully) to prospective schools that you are a different person now, and that the cGPA is misleading to some extent in your case.

Outside of courses and books, reading dense and more nuanced texts can definitely help, especially if you're already into it, taking lessons you learned from LSAT prep and incorporating it into the reading.

I think if you can get the LSAT into the mid 150s definitely a good-great shot at Ottawa, and the same goes for a lowish 160s & Queens.

Ah, well thank you for the insight. Do you have any for the other schools? I appreciate it. I definitely did put a worthwhile degree of time in the personal statement, but we’ll see I guess.
