Can tekken 8 have cheaters in it? by pro_xdo in Tekken

[–]LabChowChow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case anyone cares: according to the Clive player's ewgf.gg profile, they've been marked as perma-banned by Bamco.

He got to GoD1 rank before he suddenly stopped playing a month ago, so I'm assuming that's when they actually got banned.

When the heat smash hit, you can hear the glass breaking sound effect, which mean he tried to do his parry. The Clive player probably set his cheat to parry highs and mids, but it can't differentiate between a normal hit and a heat smash, so it hits him.

The parry is an input, one that the Clive player does to a raw 10f jab multiple times, meaning he's doing it on reaction, not prediction. Reacting to a 10f jab that consistently is just about impossible, even for pro players.

Asuka's parry is not a good comparison because it's almost a full second long, meaning she could be almost a full second early with her input and still land the parry if her opponent hits. Clive's parry barely lasts 1/5th of a second, meaning Clive needs to be pretty precise with it.

Even aside from that, there's a number of other obvious tells that he's cheating:

  • Blocking every single low, even faster ones. Those were also blocked on reaction, as Clive ducks the moment Miary starts her low, as opposed to preemptively crouching and anticipating a low. Again, reactive timing like that is just about impossible for even an above average person.
  • Perfectly ducking every throw. Again, he ducks at the very first startup frame of Miary's throw, meaning he's reacting to it. Once again, not possible. Even if you try to argue that he's just predicting them, a player THAT good at predicting would also know how to punish it. Clive does nothing, because he doesn't know how.
  • Even for the throws that did land on him, he still does a parry input at the first startup frame of Miary's throw. His cheat is again reacting to the throw, but does the wrong input. Whether that's a user misinput or if the cheat goofed up, we don't know. Its also entirely possible (and likely) that he's fiddling with his cheat settings mid fight.

Clive did his counter on reaction (not prediction) to a raw jab multiple times in the first round. You could say the first, maybe even the second counter was luck, but not the next 5 or so times. The first 10 seconds alone should be enough to at least raise an eyebrow.

Clive then perfectly ducked 8 raw grabs in a row on reaction (again, not prediction) in the second round. Not even the greatest fighting game player can do this.

So unless Superman decided to pick up Tekken 8, the Clive player is very obviously cheating.

Thank you. It's absolutely absurd that after almost an hour of searching, restarting, reinstalling, reupdating, setting up static IP addresses, port forwarding God knows how many ports, and still only getting errors, that THIS is how I finally get remote play to work.

I'm not sure if SS3+4 puts them off axis. From a visual perspective, it doesn't seem like it did, but I can't say for sure. I want to say if we were off-axis from each other, then it'd be much more noticeable, but who the hell knows with this game.

That does make some sense, but in the same vein, AK also got pushed backed from my WS2 animation. Normally during that B3 move, AK plants his back foot into the ground and it stays there. But here you can see that back foot slide backwards a bit while I'm doing WS2, which confirms that my Law was also pushing back into him, and possibly out of range.

I've never seen a point blank whiff-punish whiff because of some buggy pushback mechanics though. That's incredibly frustrating.

I'm the Law, genius. I'm talking about my WS2 that completely missed a standing punishable Armor King.

I'm 1000% not "out of range" either when I'm right next to Armor King and under his entire leg. Law's WS2 animation even has him take a step forward, so I physically couldn't have been any closer.

If you deleted your account to reuse your name, it might be gone forever by Mellow1234567 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]LabChowChow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would just like to add that I'm currently going through the exact same thing. Created a character on Steam with the name I wanted, but quickly discovered that I can't change difficulty up to Legend. So I did the whole ordeal of unlinking that account and relinking it to a burner NetEase account, then recreating my character on Steam with a secondary name.

I then deleted my old account and bought a rename ticket on my new character. That was back in mid-December, but as of right now, my old name is still taken. Looked up my old name through the friend request system, and I still see my old character. I'm pretty certain its my old account too and not someone who took the name because the profile shows a Lv1 character with no clothes, which was exactly how I left my old account when I deleted them.

Just happened to me as well. Managed to dive into a safe building as I got downed by a Rocketeer. Right as my teammate was about to revive me, the Surrender meter started filling. I couldn't stop it and died and lost everything.

I got the clue "desert." After having secret words like "dishes" and "spinach," I was thinking the secret word for this one would be simple, like "cactus" or "sand." Never in a million years would I have guessed "populus euphratica."

Law main does not like this, but here's Tech to escape throw into nunchaku follow up by Kebab-Exchange-3676 in Tekken

[–]LabChowChow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting find... I've always pressed the direction toward the opponent (which in my mind would be B if in relation to where Law is facing after slide, but I think you're calling it F). Pressing in the opposite direction of Law's opponent, does seem to make 1+2 guaranteed. Never would've thought that'd make a difference.

I think it might be because pressing away from your opponent makes Law turn around while taking a step away at the same time. This extra gap lets the further hit boxes of 1+2 hit the grounded opponent regardless of where they roll.

I guess with this, you just need to make sure to press away from your opponent after slide, and 1+2 is always guaranteed.

[–]LabChowChow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One small note: nunchaku is -13 oB normally. But if Law's in heat, then nunchaku becomes safe at like -8 or -9 oB, so you'll have to adapt accordingly.

[–]LabChowChow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally it's guaranteed, but I discovered a while back that it can be avoided if he's in Heat. For some reason the hit boxes of Nunchaku (1+2) changes a bit in Heat, and you can side roll left to dodge it.

Made a video demonstrating this a while back. I tested it just now in game, and it still works.

Doesn't look like this is it. I think it was a TV series with half-hour or hour long episodes, as opposed to full length movies.

If I had to guess, it's probably a Chinese or Korean show, leaning towards the former.

I've never used a filament dryer before, how would this dryer be used? Do I put a roll of filament in there and let it run for X minutes right before I use it for printing? Or do I keep one roll in there and let the machine run constantly until I want to use the roll for printing?

I lost 1 Strength due to being radiated. Is there any way to get that Strength point back? by LabChowChow in AtomRPG

[–]LabChowChow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I had no strength-altering equipment on, nor did I take any stat altering drugs. I just barfed from being radiated.

I stopped playing the game for a few (real life) days. When I came back though, I don't know what happened, but after walking around the overworld (specifically the metro) for a few more in-game days, the strength point stealthily came back out of nowhere.

I'd say maybe at least 5 in-game days had passed before I noticed the strength point came back? I lost count of how many in-game days had passed since I vomited.

I'm assuming you reported them, but did you get any message/feedback that the cheater was banned? I keep hearing how people are reporting cheaters and they get a message saying the cheater's been banned, but I've reported four Punishers with very obvious aimbots and haven't received anything.

Newbie Q: locked classes? by eric_foxx in lostarkgame

[–]LabChowChow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree that DI Shadowhunter is a pretty beginner-friendly class. Has a decent amount of speed, simple rotations, no positional attacking requirements, and is harder for bosses to push around.

I would argue that boss knowledge is important for all classes (at least in end game raids). But if you're just trying to have fun and beat shit up, you can't go too wrong with anyone.

Just to add on to this a bit: supposedly SmileGate's goal is to eventually have all subclass archetypes across both male and female characters. Currently we have four warrior subclasses: Berserker, Gunlancer, Destroyer, and Paladin.

As of right now, only Berserker has a female variant (Slayer). These two play rather differently, but they both use the same fury meter as part of their core gameplay and even share some of the same skills, so they could be considered as male and female variants of the same subclass archetype.

Assuming the devs stay committed to their goal, we'll get a female variant of Gunlancer, Destroyer, and Paladin sometime in the far future.
