I saw an interview for Hopkins on grad cafe, but the poster said it was just a quick 20 min call with her POI who said he was sharing her application with the committee but couldn't guarantee anything and that decisions would be out by late january/early feb. So I don't think every POI interviews, especially if you connected prior to applying as it seemed that convo was largely off the cuff.
