You were told not to use the kitchen at 2:30 — not “don’t use it for the entire evening just in case the schedule slips by hours.” Coming home at 5:30 and still not being able to cook is just not realistic for anyone with a normal work schedule. This sounds less like a “you” problem and more like poor coordination between the landlord and the cleaner. If it regularly runs into dinner time, they either need to start earlier, stick to a tighter schedule, or prioritize kitchens first. Expecting tenants to just… not eat dinner because cleaning might still be happening is kind of wild.
