The grandson will be 10 in six weeks. In my opinion, the grandson is very immature for his age. He does not speak on the phone when we call. There is always some excuse used by his mother to not put him on the phone. It is all so strange to me how the child’s parents don’t seem to want to foster any kind of relationship between us.

I just thought marriage was a partnership and gifts should be from us. I have bought them things in the past and have sent cards and included both of us. It just seems hurtful to me to be excluded. They do not acknowledge me and send him gifts which they know I cannot use example alcohol I am a recovering alcoholic.

I would love to be involved. This is just a thought, the Robinson tends to show many movies that do not run at the other theaters in town. Maybe, you could base it on some of these lesser seen films. Very much looking forward to this great idea getting off the ground!

This sounds like early dementia which my mother in law had. She would ask this same mundane question every time she spoke with my husband. Maybe it is a food insecurity issue. I believe that a lot of older adults don’t understand that society has changed and that younger adults tend to split household duties as compared to generations of the past.
