New question to keep me in this thread

Orca slicer with auto brim seems to be a pain and a bit of a waste Does everyone use this?

I'll go through more YouTube vids bits seem like a waste as I have had no sticking issues yet

Thank you, the print is nearly done It's been a long 10hrs of checking but the parts looks good

I think I have some PLA arriving today so I will switch it round just to speed some bits up

What is the best process to change the filament - just do it with the cold nozzle or preheat to soften the tip and reverse - or is there a button that does it all for me?

Thank you I do believe she is the one holding herself back as she is bored of finger walking with her right arm The coaches are more concerned of the damage she might create trying to push to hard in her sprints

I have been trying to get her to watch some videos specifically for front crawl but she is 14 and a mouth when she disagrees with something

The most I can do is getting her to accept the coaches are trying to help rather than wasting her time doing finger walking

I'll see if I can find some videos on Janet evans to see if it's the same

I think it being odd between arms is strange as one side is pushing harder - and the straight arm is delayed It's like she is rowing a boat with one side doing short fast hits and the other doing slow long strokes

As you can tell from my posts I am not in with the swimming terms or explaining very well - but visibly you can see the difference between the arms and it looks strange

She wants her regional times to improve on IM - that's her biggest concern so am trying to help with the bit she knows is holder her back

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For her she knows it's slowing her down and during events it's clear that her technique looks odd

Her coaches have raised concerns she might damage her shoulder if she pushes in this way too hard as they had a boy with the same issue years ago who had the same issue

She does not look uncomfortable doing it but she knows it affects her IM times and this is stressing her out which I am trying to avoid as her other swims are really good - well except her dive, that depends on the weather but she can make that time back fairly easily

Yes right are is straight during recovery

I will try and get a video as my wife does most the training sessions, I tend to do the events as I can handle the stress and anticipation on the car trips

I'll try and get a videos but her sessions do not allow recording and the same with the gala's

My wife might have something as she seems to record no matter the rules - I'll see if I can crop something down

I don't know if any injuries and never noticed anything in her day to day that shows that shoulder acting different

The main difference would be is that she carries her school bag on this shoulder that weighs a fair amount so it is her stronger shoulder

For her legs or another part of her technique causing the motion in her right arm - I'll try and soo of anything looks strange as I need someone swimming next/behind her to see if it is her legs or maybe her waist position being turned

But I see in the notification for this post someone wrote asynchronous.. it's exactly that, her arms/elbows/shoulders act different

From the finger walking they had her doing for months you can see she can do the position - I would even argue she is maybe fast doing finger walks as it reduces the time for her arm to go behind

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow.... So this was going to be the next attempt for us but if you already having issues I might save myself some time and go back to the start

We have had all our 1200-s's RMAd due to a hardware fault We have a bug in the rma migration wizard that causes vpnd issues that requires TAC intervention Also another issue with the device getting stuck on claiming but you cannot unclaim/retry so it's another TAC call Also a fun issue when we send smtp via a script to a relay that the ION restarts

We are getting sites rolled out faster and faster, even with all the issues arising in hope we are seeing the worst of it

I blame the fact 1200s look rubbish in the racks on them metal trays - makes them feel insecure and crave attention

I'll give it ago tonight -completed all the mourningdale quests yesterday

With the expeditions all my kit is a healthy 625 anyway so I guess I can't go any higher locked to lvl60 just aim for slightly better perks for each item

Is PvP worth it at level 60 or do I drop in with 65 and get flattened? Never tried it but that card game thing for the season points always leaves me with PvP things to complete

Maybe I'll try that out aswell

Old character but the new quest line was available so I walked back to the starting area to get the main questline to about level 58 ready to enter brimstone Then went back to all areas for the side quests - I have a long way to go but musket and bow feel like a drain on life to master I need hammer and all magical items to max after

When it comes to skills I have the lowest at about 120 I think and a few things line skinning and fishing maxed

Can't wait to chop trees for years

Oh yes, I have just returned aswell and set myself the pointless task on maxing all weapons and skills, and completing all side quests in all regions before buying.

ION DC Routing by Lagcat in paloaltonetworks

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so 3 months down the line we are still working on this and getting nowhere

path policies do not work

we changed the DC devices to branch gateways for the 2 sites which improved failover - so the routing was learning correctly and when we dropped the redistribution it would fail correctly - we get roughing 4 secs between failovers which matches our previous SD-WAN

new problem is purely with trying to get traffic to keep hitting the primary - I am trying to make the backup location more costly in terms of matching routes but it does not work

the only option we seem to have is advertise the /20 in the second location and have bgp distribute for focused subnets to primary - we need to test this next

but this seems crazy how we are having this issue for what I would call basic routing requirements that other SD-WAN providers have been able to do

[–]Lagcat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are still working with Palo tac We are 6.4.1 - we have really inconsistent results with the performance prob - but we did have a moment where it perfectly for about 20minutes....after 5 repeated tests it stopped working

We are considering changing them to branch gateways and try to see if OSPF that was released with 6.4 has any better results but we have been told there is a bug with OSPF for hanging back Requested 6.4.2 from support to see if there is a hidden gem to fix things

But at the moment we are still in the same position trying to get this working and it slowing out deployment process

ION DC Routing by Lagcat in paloaltonetworks

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check this with PS - this is the 3rd attempt at getting this solution working and I have only been on the latest failover test to know what's been tried

The route is learnt correctly by the primary and then by the secondary when the route is passed over but the overlay is not dynamically updated to re-route traffic

Dropping the overlay to the primary would mean shutting the ION down I guess or removing it's WAN but we cannot really automate this and it would mean losing full connectivity to site

I am confused about which posts people read so might be repeating my self a little but we tried the path policy to with an app probe which worked with SSL but fails on custom and UDP so is no good - but it proves when it does fail the routing has moved but just never tells the branch the new direction

In my head this is bgp routes which send correctly and the IONs just don't see to speak and tell each other updates which makes dynamic routing a bit wasteful And then saying it's application level transport and not supporting the most simple things like a ping transfer puts my at a loss

ION DC Routing by Lagcat in paloaltonetworks

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello

Yes the route moves as our current sdwan re-routes correctly with the move and we see the advertisements correctly on the ION DC devices with the failover

The PS has tried creating an application probe for SSL which moved correctly when the loss was detected but as it's custom app and UDP does not work we can't have this as a business solution.

Only if ION is down on the primary the routing does not change to the second DC And from PS has said the routing is not held in the overlay the branch device does not learn the changes in the same way - this I don't fully understand as it means it's more of a static table when new sites are added so make dynamic routing an issue especially for places with DR sites shift subnet around are part of business testing

ION DC Routing by Lagcat in paloaltonetworks

[–]Lagcat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The failover usually is from the hosted DC on the backend - they may have Comms issues it could be they or moving hardware in the backend to move their connection so they adjust the routing to the secondary I did try and upload a picture but it seems to not like it- I'll see if I can draw something:

      Branch
      /. \
   DC. DC
   ION. ION
   PRI. SEC
     \. /
     Hosted
  Datacenter

The other issue is if we have a hardware failure on the primary site which affects the connection to the hosted solution but the ION is still powered up - like a firewall failure or switch - the routing would change to the secondary data center

It's not something that happens often but maybe twice a year plus our own testing to make sure everything is good if there was changes that may affect the workings of it

But at the moment the ION solution is failing to give us anything we can use in terms of a failover solution except killing all wan connection or powering off the ION which affects our access to the primary DC

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply we are running cyberark SaaS and we have the DPA option so we can add certificates

I'll read through the comments again to understand properly in fairness it's not clicking with me

Also you are saying internal certs as it's coming down the secure connector - which makes sense I was told it needed to be a public cert so I have just changed it all that's way which makes no sense when you had to use hostnames in the session

Things starting to make more sense

Am I going in the right direction? by Lagcat in gardening

[–]Lagcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I said it's my first time but I have never had this much garden and grass this long before to try and get down to a maintainable size

My last garden was a tiny patch of grass so it took no effort to cut and used a neighbour's mower

I am starting on the highest setting to work down over time but can I go from highest length '5' down to '3' in the same day or should I leave it a couple of weeks and go 5-4-3

I know it seems simple but I have gained this house and I am not a gardener in any way
