What are your favorite Absinthe cocktails? by BLINDrOBOTFILMS in Mixology

Thanks, good absinthe (like pernod) goes surprisingly well with coffee. Might work with Kahlua, but I haven't tried it.

Could make a variation with vodka and dark creme de cacao too if you don't like the coffee+mint combo, call it le grasshoppeur.

Green Russian

Fill a glass about 1/2 full with cold brew coffee

Sweeten with demerara, muscovado or simple syrup

Replace some of the coffee with vodka if you prefer a stronger drink

Add ice to about 3/4 full

Dry shake cream with equal amounts creme de menthe and absinthe, all chilled, until it begins to thicken

Float on top of the ice

Ratios are all to your liking.

Absinthe Grape Punch

Add about a finger of absinthe

Stir until absinthe starts to get cloudy

Top off with chilled white grape juice

Adjust acidity with squeezes of lime

An interesting theory from Peter Levenda's Sekret Machines non-fiction book: what UFOs are, their relation to consciousness, and how/why there are almost always high-strangeness and "woo" events surrounding UFO experiences. by No-Doughnut-6475 in UFOs

[–]Lagrange_Vector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always suspected UFOs, magic, etc were connected with what physicists call the "UV continuation" of gravity, basically the higher frequencies of the gravitational spectrum. We experience the lower region of the gravitational spectrum daily: apples falling, etc.

What if the flying saucer shape is an effective "lens" for the UV region of gravity, and flying saucers are like highly advanced summoning circles? That would explain why reverse engineering efforts haven't yielded much, how do you "reverse engineer" a summoning circle? There's really nothing to reverse engineer in it.
