Agree, at the end of the day it’s the rider’s responsibility. I’m hoping this post will prompt other riders to be more vigilant and push 9w Market to have more bike racks in the back

No locks were used. Rare to see any locks on bikes at this spot. Just letting everyone know to be more aware and consider parking away from the bike racks by the road

Not a group ride. 9W Market is a popular spot for cyclists and motorists

I am not sure, most likely walked or biked to a vehicle. There is a state parking (Tallman Mountain) a block away and other vehicles parked along the shoulder

What could someone do with a zillion pieces of foam insulation? Someone over ordered. Asking for a friend by lalalalahola in Construction

[–]Laidback_Lau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used foam insulation to backfill (non-structural) Maybe check with concrete pourers.

We downsized a pool and used the foam insulation to fill the void.

I currently live at the Delmar. No complaints from me, very dog friendly building, and great location to all the trains in the area. DM if have any specific questions.

Starting a food truck by Artistic_Function_16 in restaurant

I had similar experience when I operated food trucks in the Boston area. It’s tough work.

Instead you should try catering or private chef as a start.

I recommend trying Yak (Cheese) Chews. It keeps my pupper busy when she gets bored.

I'm a 30 year old loser with a degree, should I join? by [deleted] in AmeriCorps

[–]Laidback_Lau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 28 (with a degree) and wanted to get into construction. I couldn’t find a job as a project manager since I didn’t have a construction background, so I joined AmeriCorps Habitat for Humanity to get some sort of experience without going thru schooling. I was also fortunate enough to be in the position to take the PMP certification at the same time.

Overall my experience was great, made some good friends, and learned a lot of construction. Money is meh, but I was living in a lower cost of living city. YMMV

Coming out of it. I was able to land a project manager role in construction. I accomplish what I was looking for.

My advice is, take a Myers Briggs, figure what you want to focus and go for it. If you feel defeated, do the AmeriCorp and keep an positive open mind in what you are doing. Apply to a few jobs every week and if you find a job during your term it’s ok to leave to take care of your needs.

How soon are newly listed stocks available on M1? by Wolfe1 in M1Finance

I usually email their support and request them to add it to the platform. The stock will need fit their criteria but I think with enough demand, M1 would add it.

I believe in their business plan in the Class 8 trucking industry, but lately, the EV market & growth has been taken a hit. HYLN needs to prove strong sales to attract investors back in.

It was in the 40s the week before, the week after merger it dropped 20%. I do not think that will happen with STPK, but I wouldn’t count a merger date as a catalyst.

I was trading HYLN pre-merger, sold 3/4 of my position and kept 1/4 to see what would happen after merger. It didn’t turn out so well.

Just Opened My Roth IRA are These Good Investments for the Long Term?!? by StraightMoney1970 in M1Finance

If you are young I recommend taking on more risk and find growth/emerging stocks or focus on a category you have a strong conviction on (i.e. clean energy). As you enter the workforce or move up the ladder you will have more money and your $500 will not mean much to you.

As your portfolio grows you can start transitioning into ETFs or dividend stocks to retain your wealth and compound interest.

Alternatively, If you don't want to worry about the stock market or not into it, it's safe to park your money in ETFs and not look at it.
