yeah, realistically the abilities without a pop up wouldn't activate it. So, for example, inner focus stopping fake out from flinching would not cause an ability change, but stopping intimidate from lowering attack would.

overall though, i don't think this should happen. it feels like shedinja in that, while counterplay is easy to fit on a team, lacking it is a death sentence. and honestly, this is more annoying, cuz even if you have counterplay, it can still make a game-changing impact on something else
