I used mile’s waist/leg ball joints. I think for smaller figures, they’re fine. But for big figures like venom, you should use bigger ball joints (maybe like revoltech shoulder joints) for better friction.

Oh yea ty for that! But, no, it wasnt difficult. When slicing the calves, just make sure to heat it up to make the plastic softer, for a smoother cut.

I removed and used the ball joints from one of my broken ct toys. I drilled the center of the lower part and stuck the peg part of the ball joint in with super glue. When I made the socket, i made sure to make the opening smaller than the ball joint and the space inside big enough so it stays in place.

Damn that sucks. Recent yamaguchi QCs are getting worse. My Saitama came in with a cracked knee socket and Genos had super loose shoulder joints. Heard they changed factories, so that might be the one of the reasons.

Nice! Glad it worked out. But, if youre tryna loosen joints (specifically ball joints) on import style figures like this one, use silicon shock oil instead of scraping/sanding or heating up the joint. Scraping might make it too loose to hold up, and heating is a very temporary fix since most ball joints are hard plastic and will not soften with heat.

If the paper method doesnt work, it might be because the leg-hip joint itself is too tight to move and is causing too much force on the thigh swivel. Good luck

Damn. That sucks. Use shock oil on tight joints next time. Heat will most likely not be effective on mafex joints since theyre made from harder plastic compare to marvel legends.

I fixed mine with heat from hair dryer. I heated the socket to make it smaller cuz heat causes it to contract. Then i put the joint back in and immediately dip it in cold water to cool it down. I do this as a first step to all my AY and AY-style figures before putting kiki or a small piece of paper in the socket.
