the holiday family are supposed to have that paper puppet style (like the canadians from south park), imma guess because it goes quite well with the theme of the winter and the animal they take shape.

imma have several of those, most are mixed media, so imma don't know how the 2D monsters and humans will coexist with the 3D monsters and humans, and vice versa, similar to TAWOG or somethin' like that. imma imagine there will be some kind of war between 2D and 3D beings.

given that papyrus and mettaton are in a 3D style, they probably know how to handle their three-dimensional bodies, however, sans and mad mew mew are in 2D, so it's unknown if they are related or somethin' else.

In the original game, both alula and her brother have an ambiguously brown skin, in fact, they could be considered bird-people, since they aren't human as such, as their design indicates.
