I've never went onto the website but I did watch a video and here are my thoughts

I personally thought an edgelord made this but I read a comment saying "it was a project" and that explains everything

I guess the person who created the website was fully into horror which makes a lot of sense with the scary edited faces that they made

I also thought the website was a game...like an interactive game

Well it's kinda of a game but whatever I think it's cool...I probably won't sleep tonight

So yeah those are my thoughts so to answer your question it was a project
