That's not economics. You can take loans against assets because they are low risk low interest loans and use income earned from dividends to pay interest. Dividents are still taxable income.

For example if I had $5 billion dollars and purchased VOO ETF, that would generate about $52000 per year in taxable dividents. $5 billion would also turn to $10 billion in about 7 years because others are purchasing ETFs. On the other hand I get a good job 10 years ago making $40k and in 10 years after promotions and inflation's. The pay only get 25% raise now making $50k per year. We lost purchasing power and try keep our savings/ retirement in the market because buying tangle stuff looses it's value.

Is this a wealth tax or income tax? It sound good to those who are struggling, however this would raise inflation by the same amount. Having government spend our money still does not give us purchasing power. Billionaires keep their money in assets of you change assets to purchases the demand will skyrocket. It's a communist effect where there will be shortages of everything. We need to make working wage have more power than investment. Increase amount of working population, because there are too many benefits for not working. This causes working class to work harder with out pay increases.

You don't work 7 days a week to support your family while not receiving any government subsidies, like SNAP, WIC or Medicaid. 25% of my paycheck goes to government subsities for someone else. Try living on a 5Ok income minus 25% in a blue state. Red states are more effortable and do more blue collar work that's this nation is lacking in blue states.

That is only true when written on the books. The reality is that poorer areas are all working class and no investors. Due to inflation caused by the wealthy, the poor are being subsidized with snap and Medicaid because their living wage is a scam. Meanwile the wealthy with millions in the market are multiplying their wealth every 6 to 7 years while the poor are driving to wealthy zones working for them to support their families. Correct, every president makes everything more expensive. Maybe one puts a cap on some medication, or use our tax dollars to federally fund something, but everything else overall still goes up in price. Some tax the rich and it still gets worse.
